Great hotel, excellent golf courses, staff very friendly and helpful

Lovely hotel with good service. Facilities are good. Rompido is a lovely village/town with great restaurants. Would certainly book again

We stayed here 2 years ago and were really pleased. We had a great 5 star experience. Boy, how a hotel can change in just a few years.... On the good side: Nice pretty hotel location Pool area is great and the pool bar (in the 5 star part) El Faro has a great ambiance Good breakfast buffet selection Pool view rooms with balcony are nice (Superior Rooms) Majority of staff are friendly This hotel is marketed largely to cater for French, Spanish and Portuguese. The other part of the hotel is a 4 star Aparthotel, 90% French. The Aparthotel guests are permitted to use the 5 Star hotel facilities which impacts negatively on the other guests: 5 Star area pool and bar are far nicer than those provided at the Aparthotel complex which means, every day there is an exodus to the 5 Star area and there is insufficient capacity of sun loungers or seating for lunch at the bar to cater for all. No care given to those with young families who don't smoke or areas allocated for non smokers. If you don't want to inhale passive smoke, you have to stay indoors. If you want breakfast in the beautiful outside breakfast area, you'll have to inhale about 5 cigarettes each. The whole of the bar and pool areas are at times like going back 40 years in UK as all the French (90%), Spanish and Portuguese light up with impunity whether or not they have young kids next to them. In short, if you're a smoker, you'll love it. If not, go elsewhere.

Lovely hotel,friendly and efficient staff couldn’t do enough for you very happy with the service cleanliness and facilities if I had one negative it would be the lunch service at the Faro bar,the queuing system was not what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel insufficient amount of tables and chairs which meant a longer than necessary wait to have lunch but lunch was fine

Whilst the room and general hotel environment was ok it was in need of an upgrade. There were too many groups of noisy male golfers. This made the atmosphere around the pool and outside areas uncomfortable . The food choice in the restaurant was limited for this class of hotel. The location meant that it was not practical to walk to local restaurants. It was often difficult to find a sunbed in the middle of the day.

relaxed and friendly hotel.25 minute walk to nearest village with excellent restaurants. shuttle runs from hotel to village hourly.Breakfasts excellent.Nearest beach is a short ferry ride from village.(free for hotel guests)

Beautiful pool, gardens, excellent breakfast. The hotel has a free train shuttle to the pier where you can take a boat to a dune beach.

We stayed in the 5* hotel which was a very relaxing stay. There is also a 4* apartment complex on site. Stayed here as a base into the beautiful surrounding areas. We never used the golf facilities but overlooked a section from the room and it looked amazing with numerous golfers out. The room was spacious with a queen bed, a small terrace overlooking the golf course and a large bathroom. It was very clean. WiFi was excellent. From the moment we arrived everything was easy allowing instant relaxation Buffet breakfast is very good with too many selections to sample in one sitting. The evening buffet is equally as well equipped. Fantastic resort, friendly staff and beautiful location.

Two very good golf courses mean that this is very much a golf resort. The rooms are very good, spacious and clean with good bathrooms. The pool area is good and the location is a walk into the very nice village of El Rompido. However the food is not good enough for what is supposed to a 5* hotel. It is more like mass catering. I would not have been happy if I had taken the half-board option, but then I like my food!

Precise Golf Resort El Rompido The Hotel delivers exactly what you would expect from a 5 star rated hotel. The facilities ie public areas,restaurants,bars,spa,pools gardens etc.are immaculate. On site car parking is plentiful and conveniently located. Our room was large,comfortable,very clean and with a lovely pool view. The restaurant that we used for dinner and breakfast was excellent.The a la carte menu and fixed price buffet dinner were excellent, both in quality and value. The buffet breakfast was also superb. The service throughout our stay was also excellent,my wife had her birthday during our visit and the staff had a small gift delivered to our room eventhough we has not notified them of the birthday - a very thoughtful and welcome gesture.
