The Caravelle Resort

AWFUL, Bait and switch on booking of hotel. You are researching hotels only to switch you off property at another ownered property of theirs. Under construction, bug invested bc of construction or poor cleanliness. No pictures of actual hotel you stay at, all ficticious. Room dirty, checked out early and thank god Expedia got my money back but took several weeks.

While the front staff and maintenance crew were friendly and tried their best to accommodate us, the hotels were old and in disrepair. The maintenance crew was recently reduced. It took quite a bi of time and effort to figure out how to get the tv on. The first assigned room was dirty from the entrance to the room itself. The next room was better but the popcorn ceiling was falling off the ceiling in spots. There was mold around the vents and although the rooms were nonsmoking there was the smell of pot.

Frustrating that neither of the on site bars were open past 9. Smoking at the pool right next to the sign that said no smoking. RJ’s not open for lunch. Weed smoking somewhere on the balcony. Tried to make us pay an extreme damage deposit when we were told no deposit is required. Elevators were atrocious. Way too small and not enough for the size of the hotel. No air conditioning in it either. Kitchen sink had no water pressure. It came out at a trickle. But the shower and bathroom sink had wonderful water pressure. Didn’t make any sense. Air conditioning in the room barely worked.

Property is a great place to stay but they could use better beds and pillows. They are a little on the uncomfortable side. Pillows are hard. Property could use more parking and more elevators to cut down on the wait time.

I didn’t like that I had to check in one place and then park else where and then go to the building I was in .

First, i thousght we were booking to stay i. Caravelle Resort, and we ended up stailying in Sea Mark Tower that was a walk away from the actual resort. We couldn't get in to where the pool area was bc we did not have the code. The bed mattresses were stained, carpet stained, curtain had a huge red stain on it, the furniture was dated, washer and dryer area was dirty, the microwave smelled like someone burned something in it, pans were rusty, one of the bathrooms drainage was slow...bathtub and faucet, the patio furniture was dingy and nasty, and we had to wash it down before we sat down. The air unit was loud all day and night. I tried to upload the pictures, but i couldn't.

For the amount of money that was paid , this was unacceptable! Cockroach’s , tv only had one channel ! Room smelt like fish.
