The Caravelle Resort

My room was dirty upon arrival. There were lots of hair in the bathtub and the sheets were dirty. The bed was not comfortable at all. I called the front desk and housekeeping several times within minutes of entering my room, no one answered. I walked across the street to the lobby and made the front desk staff aware of my issues and Moe assured me that he’d request a full cleaning of my room the following day (which meant I had to just deal with the dirty sheets and bathtub until then), housekeeping never came during my entire stay. I called front desk and housekeeping everyday to remind them of the issues, but no one answered the phones at all. On my last day, housekeeping knocked several times an hour before checkout time, 11am. This stay was not very pleasant and I will not be staying here again due to the poor conditions of the hotel and lack of concern and communication from the hotel staff. I do not recommend this hotel. On another note, RJ’s restaurant staff were wonderful and the food was okay.

The shower knob broke and I couldn't turn the water off. I reported it to the main office and a work order was put in. I explained it to a maintenance tech who was standing near the office and told him what was going on that I had no way to trun the water off, his reply was let me check if I have another knob to replace it. Never followed up . Water still running. I seen another maintenance personnel explained to him what was going on. His reply I will check. Never followed up. I went to a local Walmart and purchased a pair of pliers to shut the water off. After there paying 39.00 for property warranty this should have been fixed ASAP. I checked out today and no maintenance tech ever showed up I don't no if there is and thing that Hotel.com can do but I requesting some type of conversation for my stay

I will not book again

Had issues with our TV the entire stay. Someone came to fix it and it worked for a few hours and then it stopped. Called Frint Desk numerous times and no answer. My room flooded due to something above my room. I called the front desk from 5:15-6:15am and finally made contact after I packed my family up to vacate due to not knowing what the “water” was coming from the ceiling.

There was no clear instruction on which building to go to. And the smell of dog urine everywhere you walked around the property was so strong.

Our room was absolutely small and dirty with a huge standup rug and dirty dishes in the clean silverware drawer, called upfront multiple times for house cleaning, and nobody came, asked for a refund and was denied due to all of the issues in the room. They said they do not do refunds, even though it was the same night that I asked. We live here locally and I take my daughter to a resort for the weekend every time she gets honor roll , this was by far the worst one we have stayed at. They wouldn’t even offer local discount and the price for the room compared to the condition and quality was absolutely insane and not what we expected at all.

room was dirty, got feet nasty on floors. poor customer service, unannounced fees and unaware of policy changes.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay however there’s a few things that should be updated. The lobby situation was confusing, the lobby was across the street from the actual hotel. Two elevators were broken. And after a certain time at night it was impossible to find parking so we had to park in the garage across the street.

Check in was super slow, had to pay $24 for the weekend for parking and the parking garage was so small. It was difficult to navigate and I ended up messing up the front of my car. The room smelled musty and old. No maid service showed up for fresh towels or to empty trash.
