Oyster Bay Beach Resort

I specifically asked for a great ocean view (twice, once in the booking notes and once with a phone call), and I got a room with a tiny view. Twice I requested that we be moved and twice was told there were no other rooms. I find this very unlikely as it was not high season and there was nothing on the island that was full. I went to the concierge desk twice. Once to arrange a private sailboat charter and once to get information about the ferry to Pinel island. They were NO help either time. The room was rather shabby. There were little bugs in the kitchen. The tub was not properly installed so it flexed every time you got in it. The tub/shower faucet dripped all the time. There were drywall repairs that were incredibly amateur. So, while we loved the island and had a great time it was in spite of the resort. Finally, there was some sort of time share scam in process. The bellman was great and the little store the Veranda was great. Needless to say we will not go back to the resort.

What a beautiful resort! Atmospheres was magical! Always live music at the beautiful bar that looks out onto the turquoise beach with infinity pool. Jeremy is an incredibly helpful nice young man! He helped us throughout our stay - luggage up stairs - helpful information!

This is our first time to Sint Maarten and did no wrong by booking into Oyster Bay Beach Resort (little far to drive). It is great from the minute we arrive till last day. Staff wise you can't say much but great - always with a smile on their face and ready to assist you no matter what. Nightly and daily entertainment will keep you not to leave. Pool and beach are so beautiful. Food is tasty from the market that you can have a wonderful breakfast daily. Thanks to all staff at Oyster Bay.

Oysterbay is ALWAYS amazing but what made it even better was our waitress sasha -&' chef nathan they were truly AMAZING and they both are one of the many reasons i would always return to oyster bay very friendly and attentive they made sure everything was PERFECT for us. 10/10

Restaurant, Bar, store and maid service employees are very friendly and helpful. Pool is nice. Front desk and Reservation people are not very helpful or friendly. Rooms are just okay (need upgrades) and food quality in the restaurants is below average for the Island. While not the resorts fault dawn beach has a serious seaweed issue and the sulfur odor makes the Veranda and Beach unusable.

We travel to SXM twice per year to stay at OBBR / Coral Beach Club. Our family has owned timeshares since 2001. The island is lovely and accessible. It is affordable and modest compared to other islands in the region. OBBR is a fantastic resort on the Dutch side away from the busier areas. Great atmosphere, safe, secure. The rooms are clean and well appointed; though some rooms suffer years of wear and tear - could use new mattresses, new hardware, etc. The days at the Infiniti pool are awesome - good food and great service. The restaurant is always reliable though not spectacular - good pasta entrees and some nice specials throughout the week - excellent for quiet dinners after a long day of fun at beaches or on catamarans. We tend to spend our quiet evenings at The Veranda - great drinks from Gregory, as always. I look forward to his beautifully crafted cocktails on my trips. OBBR - keep that man serving up his cocktails - he's one of the best on the island. The Veranda store offers many essentials; we stop in frequently for pastries, drinks and snacks. The staff, Yubi, Yirara, and Chris treat us like family. As for Dawn Beach, OBBR manages the sargassum seaweed as well as any other beach on the island. Is the smell and mess unfortunate? - Absolutely, but it's a small price to pay in a Caribbean paradise - they work their tails off to clear it out - and you can be sure we tossed a few bucks to the machine operators - That's thankless work. They're making the very best out of a tough environmental problem - it is what it is for the entire region. Overall, we love OBBR and CBC. We'll continue to visit year after year. For the cruisers - try to get away from Phillipsburg (which is great), but there's so much more to this beautiful island!
