Park Hyatt Seoul

Overall hotel is slightly below expectations. Some renovations ongoing but noise was acceptable and ear plugs provided. Warmth and hospitality was average and customer service was slightly below what you expect at the Park Hyatt. Conceirge was attentive however. Slightly under whelming if you are expecting typical Park Hyatt experience.

Pros: This is a beautiful hotel with extremely lovely, professional, helpful staff. I felt very cared for, especially when I was in a rush to leave for the airport bus stop (staff will call a taxi for you to get to the the city airport terminal, which is close as the crow flies but because of construction and intersection design, may be annoying to walk if you have luggage and it happens to be raining). The bathroom is WONDERFUL with an extra deep tub in the shower, but best suited for solo or couples travel as there is a glass panel in the shower visible from the bedroom without any option to cover. There are thoughtful amenities in the room that were appreciated and very much in line with the Park Hyatt brand. Cons: There is extensive construction occurring outside the hotel (transportation infrastructure) which wasn’t communicated at booking. I had requested a quiet room and didn’t hear anything, so this may not affect your stay. I did see that the rooms are aging with poorly repaired areas of damage (see photo of closet door handle), scratched up floors, etc. My main gripe was the shape of the room I was assigned, as it felt quite cramped and was a bizarre triangular shape. I was not prepared for this room as the website doesn’t show any photos of this room and it felt like it was half the size of a regular room. I’ve included a diagram of the floor, the room happens to be situated at an awkward choke point in the design. I am an Explorist (not the highest status) and did not expect an upgrade at this very busy hotel, but also was surprised to be assigned such a tiny room, which truly felt like a downgrade. Admittedly, I booked this reservation the day prior and was told at check-in that the hotel was fully booked and there was no other option for another room, but photos of this style/type of room should really be up on the website so there are no surprises. I would not recommend this room for any parties greater than 1. This was an unwelcome introduction as it was my first time at this hotel. I think if the location is convenient for you (Samseoung Station exit number 1 is literally outside the front door), go for it as it is a beautiful hotel with great staff! However, this was a disappointment after a fabulous stay at the Andaz Seoul Gangnam. If future business stays required me to stay at this hotel, I would request anything but an -04 room.

a classy option in Seoul for Hyatt loyalists. smaller and more boutique than the Parnas/Intercontinental across the street, but still having a good location next to Coex. The food and beverage options here are great if a bit smaller than the comparable options at hotels like Shilla / Four Seasons. Construction noise can be a bit much at times if you're facing the subway and on a lower floor, but there's nothing the hotel can do about it and this should hopefully pass in time. I would come back again for sure.

One of the best in Seoul for sure, it’s the highest end in Hyatt group Good location in Gangnam with other hotels, luxury malls and posh restaurants. But Gangnam under heavy construction Lobby and rooms are well designed and luxurious. Accessibility is complicated as selected lifts go to the room, lobby and restaurant . The suite only has 1 toilet and 1 sink. Great Le labo toiletries Gym very nice albeit only medium size Breakfast very good, wrote a seperate review 9/10

Having visited Park Hyatt Seoul annually for over ten years, we have built a deep connection with the property. It is because we care for the hotel that I wanted to share some constructive observations to help maintain the high standards we have come to expect. Property Maintenance & Hardware While we noted the partial renovations from a few years ago, the guest rooms are beginning to show their age. To remain competitive with Seoul’s evolving luxury market, the property would benefit from a comprehensive makeover, similar to the recent, impressive transformation at Park Hyatt Tokyo. Atmosphere & Odor Issues We noticed persistent odors in key areas that detracted from the luxury experience: * 15th Floor: A distinct "burnt linen" smell in the corridor near the utility room. * The Timber House: Noticeable musty/sewer-like odors in certain sections. Dining Experience – Cornerstone After an exceptional dinner in 2025, we chose a private room for a birthday celebration this year. While the "Primavera Nobile" course was generally well-received, the dessert (Ricotta Cream-filled Choux) was a significant disappointment. Unlike the light, crisp pastry we’ve enjoyed at PH Milan, these were soggy with stale-tasting cream. Unfortunately, all seven guests felt this ended an otherwise lovely meal on a poor note. Commendations Despite these concerns, the service remains a highlight. We would like to extend our special appreciation to: * Erin Kim: Who was wonderful in looking after every small detail of our stay. * Jake Park: Whose warm smile and friendly greeting we look forward to every year. We share this in the hope of seeing these areas addressed by our next visit.

Even though it has been almost a year since our stay at Park Hyatt Seoul, I still remember what a wonderful experience we had. The hotel was very clean, beautifully maintained, and the location is excellent for exploring Seoul. I would also like to give special recognition to Bentley, who welcomed guests at the entrance and opened the doors. He greeted us warmly every time we arrived and made us feel truly welcome. His kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression. Great hotel, wonderful service, and we would happily stay here again.
