Park Hyatt Seoul

Miss Joy Kim is truly a dream. This was my third stay at Hyatt Seoul, and she remembered me instantly. She made sure my parents and I were taken care of with such warmth and attention. From helping us with food recommendations to sharing helpful information throughout our stay, she went above and beyond. She is one of the most efficient hotel staff members I have ever met—always smiling, elegant, well-spoken, and with perfect English. While Koreans are generally very courteous, Miss Joy operates on another level entirely. She even came down to see us off and helped us with our luggage, which was incredibly thoughtful. It was a pleasure to meet her again, and I’m truly grateful for her outstanding service. A wonderful person and a true asset to the hotel.

I had high expectations, given that this is a Park Hyatt and having stayed at Park Hyatts before, however this property didn’t meet them. I’ve already relayed my feedback to the hotel directly, so I won’t go into too much detail here, but overall the hotel staff felt quite disorganized and waiting was a consistent theme throughout. Starting with check in, it took much longer than any other Hyatt I’ve stayed at in the past. We were given a room on the lowest floor, which I was told was the only room available, despite the hotel confirming an upgrade in advance for Prive. We were led to the room, and much to the surprise of both me and the staff member who opened the door, the room had other staff members still inside. We were then taken to a room on the 8th floor, and one of the managers did call shortly afterwards apologizing and sending a bottle of champagne, which was appreciated. We ended up waiting quite a while for our luggage, the welcome amenity and the bottle of champagne to all end up being delivered though. Evidently some note was added to my stay because from then on, every staff member interaction included an apology for the “incident” with my previous room, however it was also clear that the note wasn’t detailed enough about what exactly happened. The room itself was pretty fantastic, very spacious and no issues with noise since it was facing the quiet side of the hotel. The ceiling’s high and that makes the room feel larger as well. The shower and bath tub were both great as well. The bed sheets were odd though, it seems like they used sheets for the king bed on my twin bed, so there was a lot of extra loose bedding on one side of the bed. Turndown service was also odd, we weren’t able to communicate with the housekeepers who arrived, so they just gave us some water bottles and left. Globalist breakfast at the restaurant was outstanding, the buffet spread was the best I’ve seen for breakfast, and there were a few a la carte options available too. The elevators are very annoying, it takes a long time to get anywhere since you need to transfer elevators on the lobby floor, but there aren’t enough elevators for the size of the hotel so you end up waiting a lot. Checking out also took quite a while, and then we utilized the free taxi to the city airport terminal. But with the amount of time waiting for the taxi, waiting for the hotel to settle payment with the driver and then getting stuck in traffic, it may have been faster to just walk. One more minor thing to note, this hotel uses very cheap feeling paper room keys, which is not what I’d expect from a Park Hyatt given than I’ve gotten high quality wooden keys from much lower tier Hyatt brands.

개인정보를 중요시한다면 이 호텔을 권하지 않습니다. 업무차 4박 5일 투숙 중(체크인 11/3–체크아웃 11/7), 제 동의 없이 제 가방의 수하물 태그와 네임태그(개인정보 포함)가 1층에서 임의로 제거·폐기되었습니다. 객실(18층)로 옮기기 전 이미 처리되었고, 호텔은 실수를 인정했지만 이후 대응은 매우 미흡했습니다. 문제 요약 • 무단 제거·폐기: 고객 동의 없이 개인정보가 담긴 태그를 제거하고 “분쇄”했다고만 통보. 실제 확인은 불가하다고 했습니다. • CCTV 사각지대: 1층 이동 구간에 CCTV 사각지대가 있어 결정적 과정을 입증하지 못했습니다. • 설명 번복: 담당자 설명이 여러 차례 바뀌었고, 일관된 사실 확인이 어려웠습니다. • 보상 및 후속조치 부재: 호텔은 식사권 2매 제안 외 실질적 보상이나 안심할 만한 조치를 제시하지 않았습니다. 체크아웃 후 5일이 지나도록 공식 클레임 번호도 받지 못했습니다. 그로 인한 피해 • 심각한 불안과 스트레스: 개인정보 유출 가능성에 대한 불안이 투숙 내내 지속되었습니다. • 업무 차질·추가 비용: 한국 내 일정과 미국 일정이 줄줄이 지연되었고, 급히 다른 호텔로 이동하면서 추가 숙박비까지 부담했습니다. • 가치 훼손: 5성급, 4박 5일에 총 300만 원대 비용을 지불했지만, 브랜드 명성에 걸맞은 기본적 신뢰·보호·책임 있는 대응을 느끼기 어려웠습니다. 요즘처럼 개인정보 보호가 최우선인 시대에, 고객 동의 없이 개인정보가 담긴 태그를 임의로 제거·폐기하고, CCTV 사각지대와 일관성 없는 설명으로 사건을 가볍게 처리하려는 태도는 5성급 호텔에서 결코 용납되기 어렵습니다. 저는 이 경험으로 다시는 재방문하지 않을 것이며, 개인정보·보안을 중시하는 분들께는 비권장합니다 During a 4-night business stay, my luggage tag and name tag (containing personal information) were removed and disposed of without my consent on the ground floor before my suitcase was brought to my room. The hotel admitted fault but failed to provide consistent explanations or proper evidence due to CCTV blind spots. The proposed resolution was merely two restaurant vouchers, and I still haven’t received a formal claim number days after checkout. This caused ongoing anxiety, schedule disruptions in Korea and the U.S., and additional hotel expenses. For travelers who value privacy and security, I cannot recommend this property.

飯店服務人員態度非常親切，入住時主動介紹設施，讓人感覺很貼心。房間整潔、床鋪舒服，早餐選擇也多。房間景觀超美，晚上很安靜。早餐新鮮、種類豐富。整體氣氛輕鬆愉快，CP值高。非常適合放鬆度假的飯店，服務與環境都令人滿意，會推薦給朋友。

其實沒什麼好挑剔的，如果一定要說的話，房間的燈光稍微偏暗了一點，晚上化妝不太方便；還有電梯等候時間略長。不過整體瑕不掩瑜。整體來說，非常滿意的一次住宿體驗，服務與品質都維持得很好，讓人有賓至如歸的感覺，下次一定會再回來。

As of 2025, it remains a nearly perfect hotel. Although many new hotels have opened in Seoul, I believe Park Hyatt Seoul continues to be so popular because of its rooms, heritage, and exceptional service.

Room was excellent and staff was very accommodating and friendly. Great facilities as well; pool was awesome. I would return without hesitation!

This is an average Park Hyatt, nothing unexpected, disappointing or exceptional. Good service from the concierge. However, they nickel and dime you during your stay. Most Park Hyatts or Four Seasons frequently have complimentary self service takeout coffee in the lobby in the morning when you are in a rush to go and don’t want to eat breakfast. The staff near the restaurant elevator said that it is for waiting breakfast guests only and ask me to order out in the restaurant. In one of the afternoon, I called room service to get some cream for my coffee that I brewed in the room. I was told that the cream would be charged but milk would not. These little things are simply irritating.

I’ve stayed across almost all Hyatt brands over the years, from Hyatt Centric to Grand Hyatt, and I’ve always appreciated the brand’s consistency, service, and comfort. Unfortunately, my recent stay at Park Hyatt was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had within the Hyatt group. Upon arriving at our room (609), which was located near the service alley, we immediately noticed food debris on the floor — an unpleasant and unhygienic sight that left a terrible first impression. It was both unexpected and disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Further inspection revealed hair on the floor as well, which made it evident that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. For a property that positions itself as one of Hyatt’s most luxurious brands, this level of housekeeping is unacceptable. The air conditioning was another major issue — it was extremely loud, to the point where it disturbed our sleep throughout the night. The noise sounded mechanical, almost as if it was about to break down, making it impossible to rest comfortably. Additionally, I had requested foam pillows, expecting a consistent set as you would find in other Hyatt properties. However, what was delivered were two completely different types of pillows — mismatched and uneven — which added to the overall sense of carelessness during our stay. It’s disheartening because I’ve always associated Park Hyatt with refinement, attention to detail, and exceptional service. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect any of those qualities. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves on cleanliness, maintenance, and consistency. Guests choose Park Hyatt expecting excellence — not disappointment.

5/5 on hotel service, food, room, and amenities. Absolutely wonderful hotel. You won't regret staying here. Period. Very easy to get to the subway and the Coex mall. Lots of choices of nearby food as well. Great location! Wonderful views available!
