NAU Sao Rafael Suites – All Inclusive

This hotel is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are massive and comfortable. However the facilities are poor…spa pool was cold and allow children so becomes noisy and not relaxing. To top that the hot tub is out of order. Food is ok but nothing special and drinks are sweet or limited. At meal times juices, water and coffee machine is available but not one have been offered any other drinks. The pool snack bar is closed!

Location was great, atmosphere was fantastic. Rooms were spacious clean and well decorated. Variety of food to choose from and was tasty. Well valued for the money paid. Will visit 10/10. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.

I have stayed at several hotels, and this one certainly does not meet a 5-star standard, I wouldn’t even rate it 4 stars. The rooms are outdated, the toilet seat was damaged, and the toilet bowl was stained. Although our initial room was changed, the second room was still disappointing. On the positive side, the staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, and always helpful. The food was good, though breakfast could offer more variety. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of a bottle of champagne and a cake for the birthday celebration.

For a 5-star hotel, this is a very poor hotel. I travel a lot and have yet to encounter a 5-star hotel at such a modest level. The food is very poor, breakfast is the same every day and has very little selection. The indoor pool costs an additional 15 euros per person for 3 hours. The rooms are dirty, and the service doesn't clean, they just change towels. The tiles by the bathtub in the rooms aren't washed, and the grout is covered in old dirt that can be removed with a nail file – disgusting. (We had to request a room change due to the damp, broken doors, and dirt.) The gym has only three exercise machines in a room similar to a sauna.I have to praise the location, the beaches nearby (10 min far from hotel) and the views, incredible ocean 💙 👏

Have visited here 3 times before in school holidays with my daughter and grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This time out of school holidays I visited with my husband. What a difference: extremely loud hordes of male golfers shouting and seemingly oblivious to the comfort of other guests (which included young families and elderly couples). The bar in the evening was a no go area because of the noise and neither was the bar balcony which they seemed to occupy into the late evening. Another problem was young men drinking too much and becoming loud using the "f" word frequently. However ..... we found the food and wine excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. There were tables of golfers who just chatted quietly and were respectful. On a humorous note; we were settled by the pool one morning and 4 young men appeared and sat next to us. We thought "oh no, we're going to have to move" ... they were quietly spoken, polite and considerate. We smiled. Sadly I will not return as I feel that more should be done. The poor behaviour we encountered should not be allowed. Is it because of the revenue brought in!? At times I felt ashamed to be British.

This hotel is definitely not a 5 Star accommodation. 3 star would be a truer rating. The coffee machines were turned off after breakfast. There were no coffee / tea making facilities in the bedrooms. You could only get a coffee from the pool bar (the only bar in the hotel) after breakfast. We stayed for 5 days and the bar ran out of gin twice. The tiles around the bath in our room had mould. The restaurant staff were not helpful and could be quite abrupt with you. The amount of groups of male golfers made me feel uncomfortable, there was one person working the bar everyday. There were long queues at the bar all the time. The room balcony chairs were dirty and were the most ridiculously uncomfortable design. The food options were very limited. the choice for lunch was repeated at dinner time. The hotel had no entertainment except for one night, a girl singer set up outside for a couple of hours. We won’t return to this hotel in the future.

How this a 5 star hotel is beyond me. It’s run down, not very clean and some of the staff are rude. Lots of cracked and dangerous tiles around the pool, The food at the all inclusive is poor, we ended up eating out instead. Had to get the room keys re coded near every day as they didn’t work. Not worth the money!!!

Polite and attentive. Great time at this place I would recommend. The staff were amazing a pleasure to meet them. I tried sports massage, the stream room, sauna sat by the pool and also went out exploring, it was a great location and easy to walk to the beach. Thanks as I had a pleasant time.

Lovely hotel, location, food, drink and staff! Pool area was very relaxing with comfortable sun loungers. We dined in the hotels additional restaurant called Toscaria which was also very enjoyable and worth a visit.

This hotel is not for couples or family's. A shame because the hotel itself is lovely. 98% of the guests are lads/men golfers. If you want a relaxing couples holiday or a family holiday then avoid this place. When they come back from golf it's like feeding time at the zoo. Expect bad language, boom boxes and openly urinating in the pool. Also, flat beer all week even though we told the bar staff and the hotel manager. We arrived on a Sunday and the first time our room was cleaned was Wednesday. Will not be going back.
