Inn at Starlight Lake & Restaurant

Only reason to come here is lake is very good to relax and enjoy. Way too many little kids running around inside main lobby. Like a nursery. Shuffle board court in front is fun. Old bed and showers from 1960. Place has character. Only issue 2-6 years old running in fro t area all day

Such a wonderful experience. We stayed in room ten with our five year old and two year old. The bed was amazingly soft, the room was huge, and the bathroom had a great shower and huge soaking tub. The views were incredible, but what took the cake was the hospitality. The owner makes you breakfast every morning, provides wonderful conversation, food is fresh and local, and she is an expert on the local area. Can’t wait to go back!

Remote, but very charming. Would definitely stay there again.

Quiet and rustic. middle of nowhere on a beautiful little lake. Staff was very friendly, on site restaurant was excellent. requested non scented linens, they complied.

We had a pleasant stay. We stayed in the cottage. The furnoture was quite old but everything was very clean.The room was quite spacious as well. We ate dinner at the inn and it was delicious. Stayed during the weekend for a wedding near by. The staff were so kind and pleasant, it was a highlight of our stay! In general, the prices are fair, and there is an old school charm to the place, which makes sense as it has been operational for over 100 years. Set your expectations appropriately; the floors are creaky, and we ran out of hot water on a busy Saturday morning (aka old pipes). That’s Reasonable for a place as old as this one, and the staff work hard to keep it clean and running smoothly.

When I first arrived, I almost never thought that such a hotel could exist in the mountains. When I got off the parking window right in front of the lake and looked at the hotel, the building looked quite old and worn out. However, despite the building being 100 years old, the interior was very neat and tidy. Especially the bathroom was very well organized. Also, the free breakfast was good, and the water mist on the lakeside in the morning felt heavenly. There are no shopping malls around, and you have to go out for about 10 minutes to find restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and it was a beneficial trip for our couple.

What a charming country inn. If you want to switch off and slow down in a bucolic setting this is the place. It’s like stepping back to a simpler era. I’m certainly planning to return.
