Cops always there walking through the halls

During a snowstorm our flight was cancelled out of Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY and we were given this hotel from the airport as one of the only options of available rooms as all other hotels were booked. Upon arriving the check-in dest was completely enclosed in security glass. There were no elevators in the hotel and we were given a room on the second floor but we had to go up multiple flights of stairs with heavy luggage. When we got to our floor there were two homeless people in the hallway and a third person hiding in a corner who was obviously incapacitated. When we walked into our room the bathroom floor was completely wet; we had to use all the towels to wipe it up and the toilet continued to leak water around its base. All night long there was smoking, partying, door slamming and loud mayhem going on in the hallway; which we could witness from the door peephole. We were afraid to walk out of the room. At 4 am the fire alarm rang and we had to go to the lobby. While there, one of the people staying there went berserk about loud alarms and tried to break into the lobby desk area with his fists, as well as taking a metal trash can and violently throwing it at the fire alarm on the wall and screaming. This is absolutely NOT a reputable place to book a room EVER. Avoid it at all costs. We wish we slept at the airport. We paid 166.00 for a night of terror and feel we should get our money back.

Staff we fine

Cleanliness, smoke alarm in the room was broken, tub dirty, smelled like weed throughout the entire hotel, no elevators. I had 2 kids with me and 2 luggage bags and had to lug them up and down stairs.

By far the WORST hotel I’ve ever seen. Due to a snow storm we were forced to get off the roads and seek a safe place to stay. This was NOT it. Clearly illegal activity going on in the halls and an intoxicated woman in the lobby. The whole place smelled terribly of weed and cigarettes. Clerks were behind bulletproof glass and could not care less. Cigarette burns in the bedding. Dirty and the whole place is falling apart. At 3:45am all the smoke alarms started to go off and they had no idea why. At 4:30 we left, along with other families. We decided we’d stand a better chance surviving the drive than that place. It needs to be shut down.
