The Posada is magnificent, like staying in a historical monument. Full of original oil paintings and religious artifacts. Took us back in time. The dining room is medieval and luxurious. Food is excellent. Enormous gardens and ancient woods behind the building. Staff is friendly and helpful

Swimming pool was out f order due to ongoing restoration works.

The monastery is a beautiful setting. The interior and gardens are terrific. It's a bit hard to find if you're driving, and even with several GPS options, navigating the town is frustrating because of the inaccuracies, but that's not the pousada's fault, just a warning.We had the master suite, which was charming and spacious. We had dinner twice in the restaurant, and had a pleasing experience, although the menu is limited, and the food good but not exceptional, but the staff was friendly and helpful,making it all worthwhile, Breakfast was also very good. It was a real treat to stay at the Mosteiro.

They menu could have been more varied and imaginative. For example, the chicken stew was nicely prepared, but bland.

Um agradecimento especial ao Vítor Machado, cuja disponibilidade, profissionalismo e cordialidade fizeram realmente a diferença. Sem dúvida, uma experiência a repetir.
