The pousada is a beautiful building. You are staying in a royal palace and it feels wonderful.

It is very difficult to find the pousada. I think the signs in the town centre need to be better.

Breakfast was amazing! But the highlight was how friendly and accommodating all the wait staff were. Victor, Paulo, Nono, and others were wonderful!! Victor especially was so thoughtful and cheerful. The grounds were gorgeous. Truly one of the best places we have ever stayed!

Only negative was the couvert charge of 6 euros PER PERSON. For a table of four that was 24 Euros for a few olives and a couple small slices of bread. In other Portugal locations either there was more offered or less amount. Foreigners who don’t know about it should be given an option. Perhaps 6euros per table rather than per person!

"One of the best hotels I have stayed in!"

This is a beautiful hotel, with wonderful gardens and a big outdoor swimming pool. The public rooms are full of character and there is so much to see, inside and out. The bedrooms are large, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The food is delicious, the breakfast buffet superb. The staff are fantastic and will go out of their way to help make your stay perfect. We will definitely be going back!
