Luz Bay Hotel

Location was great within walking distance to Luz beach the promenade with local restaurants, shops etc.

Firstly when I arrived and checked into my room and opened the balcony sliding door, it came away from the rails. I then asked help from reception and was told that the maintenance person had gone home (1pm in the afternoon!) The receptionist said there wasn't another room to offer me so he came up to the room and managed to fix and lock the patio door leaving me with only the other side that could be opened. The room safe lock had been removed, holes in the curtains, a hole in one of my hand towels and the pool sides were dangerous with broken white bars just before you enter - very dangerous for children I would imagine.

I was pleased with my stay.

That the restaurant was closed in the evening.

Services are top quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and very welcoming.

It was excellent.

The hair dryer could have worked and the staff could have been knowledgeable regarding the days that the nearby restaurant (the only one they mentioned) was closed - our day.

The rooms were good nice and clean could probably do with an update the beds were clean and comfortable the staff apart from one young man were very friendly and helpful

On the downside there were no tea making facilities in the room which we missed otherwise everything was ok I know it was winter which made a difference also breakfast times could be extended it finished at 9.30 10 would have been better.
