Oriel Hotel

Friendly staff, nice pool although chnaging rooms could do with a spruce up. Great area and pleasnt stay

After reading other reviews of the hotel I was surprised to find that the staff were very friendly and helpful.The hotel was very warn but that aside was very clean ,room was really nice and enjoyed our stay,looking forward to our next visit

Our twin room was really spacious, with a large bathroom. The beds were comfy and the hotel itself was very quiet. Parking was free and the hotel was only a short drive away from shops and a castle. Our room faced the main road and you could hear the cars passing, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

The general appearance on arrival shows it needs updating. The Pool roof was covered in leaves and branches. The room smelt damp. The staircase and carpets needs refreshing. The pool area showed areas of mould and needs updating. During the night we could hear everything form ther adjacent room, the walls must note be sound proofed and why if the hotel was not full put guests in adjacent rooms. I banged on the wall for them to be quiet at 0200 and again at 0400. No sleep so very tired the next morning. Wouldn’t stay or recommend this hotel

The hotel was very nice, staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, toiletries and hairdryer provided also iron in the room and board. WiFi very good. All in all a good hotel.

Very nice hotel, very clean friendly staff free WiFi excellent breakfast, very comfy bed & a nice bathroom. My only complaint would be that my Room no. 201 only had a window that was facing a brick wall. No outside view whatsoever which was somewhat disappointing.

Stayed a few times when in this area...added bonus of use of leisure centre, gym, pool and sauna
