St Charles Inn, Superior Hotel

Location was great. Having a superior Mexican restaurant was great. The staff was able to move us from one room to another without having to checkout. Breakfast was good and had all the essentials.

Awesome location, streetcar right outside to city center. Parking spot at hotel, had no issues getting one. Good value for money stay.

The location was great and the room we had was huge! Had the NOLA feel without the Bourbon crowd. Breakfast was adequate and did the job for us!

We had pets with us and I think the room we had was strictly a pet room because there was an order of pee on the floor next to one side of the bed. I tried to clean it up some with the products I had because we also had dogs with us and it helped. A little more thorough cleaning I suppose is the things I’d request. We also arrived and the back parking was full so they told me to park in the secondary location and gave me a VERY POORLY designed map and said “just park here!” So I went, and the map was very confusing and the second location was actually a hospital parking garage but they have multiple garages. I went to THREE separate ones confused as to why they all had pay rates. I finally called the hotel and was told “oh yes park and we’ll reimburse you after.” Which would have been nice to have been told up front. I think there needs to be clearer and more concise direction and a better map. What if a person doesn’t speak English well or isn’t tech savvy? But that’s really my only gripe!

Enjoyed the hotel and will definitely stay again for work or fun in Uptown NOLA. It's an older hotel with character - which I always prefer. The price was great with an easy offroad parking lot, free street parking, too all around the area if you know where to look. Very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed large guest rooms. Community coffee and quick breakfast items (breads, muffins, b'fast bars, fruit) in the am to get you fueled up and out the door. Superior Grille is the attached Mexican restaurant and always a great uptown spot for lunch or dinner, a night cap.

Das Hotel liegt ca 3 Meilen vom French Quarter entfernt, direkt an der Straßenbahn, Haltestelle vor dem Haus. Das Personal ist nicht überschwänglich, aber der nette Hausmeister machte es wert. Frühstück sehr reduziert, aber saß steht in der Beschreibung. Zweiter Waschtisch im Flur ist eine super Sache.

Der Aufzug klingt, als liegt er in den letzten Zügen, im Zimmer war es laut. Wenn die altersschwache Klima nicht jault, hört man die Straße und die Straßenbahn sehr, obwohl unser Zimmer zur Seitenstraße hinaus ging. Es war aber auch sehr heiß im Zimmer, so daß wir auf die Klima auch nicht verzichten konnten.
