The Spire Hotel Queenstown

Rooms were fantastic and great ambience, staff were superb in sorting us out with a quieter room the main issue was the quality of the bed which was average at best not a 5 star bed.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Exceptional room - great space, fire place, large and lux bathroom, very cozy bed. And despite staffing shortage in Queenstown the staff were all 10/10 and made sure we had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again if I am in Queenstown.

Excellent hotel and the staff were fantastic. The only downside was late at night on the weekends, with very loud music from the bar/club opposite, across the laneway. Also unfortunately there was no room service due to Covid and staff shortages, but the hotel provided an excellent alternative at The Grille around the corner.

We had two deluxe suites for 5 nights and booked based on TripAdvisor reviews. The positives , great central location, huge rooms and staff were accommodating. The down side is mainly around the value for money given the staff shortages in queenstown . When we booked earlier in the year there was no mention of reduced services and restaurant facilities . At over $1000 per night , we were very disappointed when we started to receive emails that the restaurant was closed and we had to walk to Eirchardts for meals. When we arrived , we were told that housekeeping would be alternate days and linen only changed on fourth day. Nothing published on their website on this . Our package included meal vouchers but these could only be used for food ( not drinks) and at the grill at Eichardts which was only open 2 nights for dinner ( Friday n Saturday ) and as they had a wedding on Friday we only had Saturday available which meant we had to give up our booking at Botswana butchery . Still the room rate remained the same for reduced services and facilities . Management offered us 2 bottles of wine ( under $100) for inconvenience… a disappointing experience for our post COVID overseas trip .

Like all of Queenstown the Spire is struggling with staff shortages after the Covid lockdown, which meant that the bar and restaurant were not open during our stay. We had booked a suite at Eichards hotel but we’re relocated to the adjoining sister hotel the Spire. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the gas fireplace a welcome facility during the cold weather. We had a room to the rear overlooking the Church, but beware rooms at the front are subject to the noisy bar and club opposite on Church Lane. Meals and drinks were taken at Eichards which was fine, but even there the bar and restaurants were closed some days due to staff shortages. The staff they do have are great, working long hours with a smile and good service. The whole town however needs a large influx of workers as nothing is operating at full capacity and getting a reservation for dinner was a real effort for every night we were there.

Great property in a great location. Within walking distance to all attractions in the city centre. Hotel staff are very knowledgeable in terms of where to go, what to do & how far away attractions are. Such a beautiful hotel and highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely fantastic stay - the hotel staff went above and beyond to provide us with everything that we needed or might need. The room was neat and comfortable. Would highly recommend, I’ll be coming back!
