Days Inn by Wyndham West Allis/Milwaukee

The Day’s Inn is not up to Wyndham’s standards. Subpar, I don’t think I’ll ever stay at a Wyndham property again

The room smelled like an old wet basement, the ceiling was concrete, the wall had dirt marks on it, the bathtub had rust build up. The air conditioner was old and rusty and barely worked on high. The fridge had ice build up in it. After walking on the floors our socks were very dirty. The pictures and descritpion of business was misleading. This is more like a Motel not Hotel. This should have been a 49.00 room not 100.00. Also they put a 150.00 security deposit hold on your card in addition to the room fee, did not know about that until check in. The only good thing was the Employees were friendly. Would not stay here again.

The pictures on the website were not representative of the hotel. Nor were the pictures of the rooms that were shown. The parking lot was cracked asphalt. The check-in was sketchy. The hallways were littered with cigarette butts and filthy. There were dirty clothes in the hallways. Upon opening the room, we were hit with an overwhelming smell of mildew and who knows what else it was.

Everything about this place is horrible.

Everything was filthy and disgusting. The lobby had food all over the tables. The parking area and walkway was covered in trash. The room smelled bad, and wasn’t clean either.

Easy access

The room did what it was supposed to do. We slept there. The bathtub took forever to drain. By the time I was done with my shower the tub was ankle deep in water. The toilet wabbled side to side. There was hair stuck to the shower walls.

The staff was very helpful but the atmosphere and rooms felt depressing. I was not at ease and did not even stay one night not even one hour. I quickly made another reservation at the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson. This was much brighter and inviting.

This place was a disappointment from the very beginning. It is very outdated and needs an all around upgrade. Our check-in was ok, but certainly not over friendly. The key cards barely work, and it took 5-10 tries in the ancient readers. The room was old and dingy. The furniture and lighting looked fifty years old, and the carpeting was dingy. The bathroom sink drain was leaking and left water all over the floor. The building looked nothing like what was pictured in their posting, and I’m surprised that Days Inn would put their name on a place that is in this condition. The one positive note was that the bed was very comfortable. I could not recommend this place and most certainly will not stay there again.
