Needs some TLC

Clean room but had a smell. The pillows were rock hard. We couldn't clean our hands in the bathroom as the bar of soap provided didn't lather. The stay was ok but not worth the price paid. I'd spend a little more and stay somewhere else instead.

I stayed in the Great Lakes Motel over the 4th of July weekend when traveling cross country. I found two lodging options, one considerably more expensive so opted for this one. My first and lasting impression of both the office and my unit was that it needed a deep clean. I can stand rundown on a road trip as I know the thin margins of the hospitality industry, but--from the cigarette butts waiting for me in an ashtray outside to the serious mildew in the shower--left me feeling really uncomfortable. Not a healthy environment. The unit really needed a serious cleaning beyond a superficial wiping of surfaces and changing of sheets. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the carport into which I could back my car. On the whole, a little creepy and not worth the $88 price I paid for it.

The motel was much less expensive than others in the area. Towels were exchanged every day. It was clean enough to suit us. It was quiet when we wanted to sleep. I was unable to get any response at check-out when I was wanted to get a detailed receipt.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Room was dirty with used toothpaste and deodorant left in the bathroom. Bed had bugs in it. When my handicapped son's diaper wet threw we asked for clean sheets the next morning. We were told we would be charged $30!!!! And if he did it again they would charge $30 again! Worst place ever!

If you're in town to fish and want a cheap place to stay, this place is for you. Friendly staff, onsite carports, air conditioning, close to food and groceries, etc. It's pretty rough, but comfortable enough.

Bathroom was the worst. Room was clean but shabby. Should have got another room. Was housing government sponsored homeless.

The room was not clean. There was a used washcloth on the shower, the shower curtain was badly stained, the bed spread was stained with a white substance, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There was a lot of activity after hours and we did not sleep well because of it. The dressers had dirt in all the drawers. It said no refunds or we would have left as soon as we walked in. I had to stop at the Dollar General to get Lysol wipes and spray, to clean the room I paid $85 to stay in.

It was a hole in the wall bathroom door was broken bed looked like trash hard nasty just nasty. Floor was dirty bee hives all on the door and windows like no lie first thing I did was look for bed bugs it was so horrible.

We had 2 rooms and both the rooms smelled musky and looked like someone just made beds, took the trash out and that was it cleaning wise. The coffee pots had mold in them in both rooms. They had not been emptied or filter thrown away. The heater or fridge did not work in one of the rooms. The drawers had holes in them. The bath tubs were dirty the bottom was very dirty,hair stuck to the insde of tub and walls. The linen in one room looked as if it had snot on it. They phone didn't work either. Just very disappointed even for that price.
