Porto Bello Hotel Resort & Spa

If you believe what their publicity says, and you expect a 5 Star Hotel, PLEASE AVOID. Very outdated place, with a 90's looking finish, barely maintained. Not worthy the price, the time or the experience!

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, don’t be fool of the pretty name the reality this hotel is far from even 2 stars, the lobby was nice huge swimming pool, the nightmare when I went to the room is was my birthday so I get a partly sea view, but the room was so basic where should I start, no kettle no coffee or tee no iron you have to pay extra fir that, 2 pillows thrown on a king bed but the bed cover was a fir a souple bed, sheet underneath it 2 sheets fir single beds join together, there are no glass cups I had to use a plastic cup to drink from, There are small glass table with two plastic chairs, I didn’t know if they meant to be the balcony or the room, the shower is a bath that you have to jump to get, not suitable for alderly person, now I had all inclusive I missed my lunch so they gave me a snack menu, coming that day from a survey in hospital the food at the hospital was 100 better, their snack menu is like jail food, one time a had tje full buffet it was ok, but don’t expect the 5 start service the staff could even yiel at you, don’t try to complain you’ll be even kicked out. In conclusion, this hotel maybe was 5 stars 30 years ago but now it nothing short of Alcatraz. Stay away I had to leave 1 day before my booking time, I need that 5 start that we all used to. Location is great though. Thanks

It is not bed, but not 5* hotel. The food is terrible. Very basic. Like hotel, not resort.

The resort was nice. The staff is nice and the food served was good. Here are some things i didn’t like: 1- WiFi was not working. 2- Extra charge to play pool 3- The spa center was good but at the message center the offer different prices for the same thing. I didnt like the way they play with prices. 4- You had very little chance to find a beach bed at the beach even thought the staff tries hard to help you. Overall i liked it.

Excellent location, great service, food and drinks

Staff was helpful, restaurant had a lot of options and the location was great sea is across the hotel.

I stayed in the hotel about 12 yers ago but it is in a much better state now. THe staff is very polite and is glad to provide service. Very good SPA facilities.
