Hotel Embassy

During a span of 10 days, I overnighted here in three different rooms on the second floor. The room layout was simple, yet functional. The bathrooms, however, tended to be on the tight side. Located just a few blocks from Plaza Foch, one should expect street noise on weekends. Barking dogs may be heard anytime during the week. For a view that includes more than the building immediately adjacent to the hotel, find a room on the southeast side (even numbered). The hotel was in the process of remodeling and the new elevator was not yet functional. Whereas the breakfast area is nicely designed, the lobby still needs work. Nevertheless, that’s where the best wifi signal is found. The staff was friendly and helpful.

If you get put in a room that hasn't been redone, ask to move to a better one immediately. We had virtually no heat, ugly rooms, and had to pay a penalty to leave early. It was worth it to get out of the place. And maybe street numbers on the place too, cab driver had a hard time finding it. Not a pleasant introduction to Quito.

Situated in a quiet street in the heart of new Quito, this hotel was undergoing renovations at the time of my visit. The rooms were a little tired and no airconditioning. The is no elevator. The staff were friendly and helpful, but service in the restaurant was slow - more staff needed?

Soooo much better than hotels in the historic center of Quito! Food was fantastic! Beds you can actually sleep on without codeine and a physical therapist in the morning!

A little old, a little worn and very basic. No elevator, no heat, no AC, no hairdryer, no coffee maker. Very nice staff and the place is clean. On site restaurant is pretty good. They are making upgrades downstairs so things might get fancier soon. Little noisy outside at night when you have the window open.

The Staff at the Hotel were very helpful. The room was large. Breakfast was good. Good location. No air conditioning. Leaking toilet not repaired in our 4 day stay. Took a long time to get hot water early in the morning(more than ten min) No elevator. We were winded walking up 4 flights of stairs at the high altitude of Quito. Overall a good value

This is a lovely comfortable and clean hotel in Quito it is located just off one of the main squares where there was lots of activity with good quality restaurants/bars and shops. Very safe to walk around. My room was quite modern and large with everything I needed, comfy bed and good linens. The view wasn't great and the TV has limited English channels but that was ok by me. Breakfast offered adequate choices and good food. Free wifi in the lobby area. The staff were really helpful in storing my bag whilst travelling around Ecuador and spoke good English. A good place to stay.

I stayed in this hotel while chaperoning a trip with a large group of high school students and five other adults. The staff was very accommodating, the large dining room and lounge off the lobby were casual and comfortable for our student to have some leisure time in when we weren't sightseeing. Most of us stayed in the main building in traditional hotel rooms which were updated, clean and convenient. There are also some additional apartment-type housing across the courtyard (fenced in from the street - no public access) where several of our students stayed. These apartments are not as modern, a bit run down but still clean. The staff was very helpful, spoke good English, and even stored some of our purchases until we returned from the Galapagos. The convenient location to shops and restaurants make this a good choice!

Good stay at the Embassy, Wi-Fi was fine and free internet .No problem with water pressure or hot water.
