This is such a beautiful property and one of the prettiest places we've stayed. The grounds are stunning, very quiet at night and comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast! Overall we loved our stay but were dissatisfied with the details. For as beautiful as the hotel is, our bedspread was pilly which made it feel dirty even though I don't believe it was. The pool towels looked like they'd been washed 1000 times; they had snags and threads hanging off them all over. Those 2 details made it feel run-down when it really wasn't. The other feedback is our "onboarding/welcome" to the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted and showed to our room but nobody asked about our bags and if we needed a dolly or help. We are young so carried our suitcases across the long gravel parking lot and down the central brick road but at most 4-stars hotels they help with baggage or at least ask about it. They told us to go get a welcome champagne drink when we arrived which we assumed was complementary but were charged at the end of our stay. The hotel offered a lot of services we didn't know about and did a poor job helping us understand they could arrange dinner and wine tastings (which our fault - we learned you NEED in Tuscany). It wasn't until our last day that we learned this was available and feel like letting us know about these services during our welcome/arrival would've made our experience exemplary!

The property was exceptionally beautiful and very well maintained. The pool was very clean as well as the rooms. The food and staff were excellent. The only small complaint was that the room we stayed in #32 the air conditioner was not working and we has to sleep with the windows open. Besides that, we had a very enjoyable overnight stay with our children, enroute to Bologna.

A beautiful hotel with amazing views. Our room was comfortable and bathroom shower was larger than most in Italy. This place has old world style with modern amenities. The pool area was spacious with outstanding views of Chianti. The restaurant had excellent wines and top notch food selections, although the menu was not overly extensive. Service was great too. I wish I had booked more time there.
