We loved the friendly staff and the Christmas decorations and the food was amazing as always

Me and my partner had planned to use the spa swimming pool when we arrived so that we had done that before dinner and drink We got our swim stuff and robes on and walked along ,only to be told the oool was closed as someone had an accident in the pool ,so we were disappointed with that Then we found that our room was placed next door to someone who had left their dog in their room unattended and it wouldn’t stop barking so loud,so this wasn’t a pleasant experience for us this time around.

"Poor service."

We have stayed at the hotel many times over the years but last few visits haven’t been great. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly but the service in the main lounge is shocking. You have to go looking for someone to get a drink and the wait for food is awful. Dinner in the main dining area the next night wasn’t great, limited menu and nothing special for the prices they charge. The golf here is wonderful, breakfast is good and the view is magnificent but it just doesn’t compare to Gleneagles. No atmosphere at nighttime. I also object to being subjected to pictures of the owner everywhere and the MAGA hats are offensive. I don’t think we will be back here.
