Just back from 2 night stay at this amazing hotel. Everything was perfect, from the initial greeting at front entrance, then at hotel lobby, car parking service and beautiful hotel. I can't praise this place enough. The breakfast and staff were totally amazing. I will certainly be back to this beautiful hotel.

Food was excellent. The gentleman that checked us in was very helpful (5 stars to him). Venue was very nice and views were stunning. Room was also lovely.

The last day of our stay (at 4am) there was a lot of noise from people outside, which I presume was staff shifting large equipment. Drink was very expensive (glass of Prosecco costing £13).

Location & majority of the staff were very nice & efficient. Quality of food was excellent. Beds were extremely comfortable.

There was an old fashioned cot in our room when we arrived! After putting 2 Adults & 2 children, both aged 10 that were staying in room in our original online booking.. Asked at reception for it to be taken out, receptionist said yes, it must of been a mistake. We ordered food in the room at 8pm which took over an hour & a half to arrive! When we checked out the receptionist didn't ask if everything had been okay during out staff.

Stayed overnight 20/12/25 for party night. 4 of us. Service, rooms and party fantastic. Down side was the food. The soup starter was fab. Main course - turkey roulade, and all the trimmings was awful. Turkey was dry and tasteless, the veg was brick hard and inedible. Cheesecake was also flavourless and the base was solid. Thankfully we all had a decent lunch at the Fairfield hotel in Ayr that afternoon. We have all had dinner at the 1906 restaurant previously and it was beautiful, therefore we had high expectations. However, would never go back when the food is cooked for a vast number of people like that night. Ann Boyd
