Glenmore Plaza Hotel

Incredibly inviting and warm.

Beautiful details throughout, and everything is so comfy. This was our second time here and without hesitation they carried our bags upstairs. Every time we walked in the lobby, someone had something kind to say we were always addressed and spoken to and welcomed. This is a very special place to stay and it is so beautiful.

The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Never had a bad experience there thats why we always stay there and its walking distance from store, bars, restaurants.

We stay here every year and always enjoy it!

The location of the hotel is perfect! Just wish the room had a full length mirror. The bed was very comfortable.

Direct tv did not work but other than that room was fine. Didn't much like going up 3 flights of stairs.

Very friendly staff and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage in storage area after check out while we enjoyed Catalina Island for the last three hours before our ferry departed.

We enjoyed the location. It was within walking distance to the beach/bay. The room had a view overlooking the street/main entrance. They offered a free light breakfast (bagel/muffin, coffee/juice). And there are restaurants within walking distance, with more complete menu of options, which we opted for. The staff were great. And the hotel is historical. Upon arrival you should know there is no elevator. So be prepared to hike the classic stairs if you're on the upper 3rd and 4th floors. If you want peace and quiet, it is a little noisy after sundown, if you're in a room facing the street. I suggest turning on the TV app YouTube for "sleep sounds". This helped while sleeping through the nights, drowning out the vehicles/noisy people out on the street below. The King bedroom with mini couch pullout was nice. It's perfect for 2 adults and a kid. It has a mini fridge and microwave.. but no coffee maker (coffee shops are just down the strip). The window blinds were problematic and needed careful finessing to open/close (a couple needed replacing). The telephone system was not working and the TV had no cable/satellite connection anymore. However we were able to watch some movies on some of the apps listed, once turned on (Tubi, Pluto). The bathroom shower was huge with an extra rainfall shower head.. however the knobs/use of them were mysterious (push, pull, turn, etc). All in all it was a good place to stay. I heard its better than the hotel across the street.

We went for the July 4 holiday. Very fun. Hotel is a short walk to anywhere! It’s very quiet. Bed was comfy… though I reserved a queen bed and our room had a double bed. That was the only downside.

Excellent location very close to the beach and stores, simply a great place, location and service.
