"An exceptional setting"

We loved the location in the heart of the village. The staff was helpfull and very nice. The dinig room has a view to die for over the plains. We hope to return one day.

What I like: the view is amazing, the room is decent considering the location of the lodging (in the mountain) and as a Pousada, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good (they even made scramble eggs for me since it was a quiet day with few visitors), the common area is cozy and full of character, and the location is great. What I like less, the internet connection can be tricky. Only available in the common area. I will stay there again if I visit Marvao again. Just be careful if you are driving up there - it's literally at the top of the mountain. :) Again, beautiful view at this location.

"Great location, but time-worn"

With a fabulous location, this pousada is getting time-worn. Our room was large & well-furnished, but the only way to control the temperature was by opening/closing windows. Water dripped through the ceiling at one point & only 30 minutes of free wi-fi were available. The dining room was over-priced at dinner -- but with a magnificant view toward Spain; the breakfast buffet was very good.
