Smartr Madrid Gran Via Apartments

We had a great apartment with the necessary amenities. Very clean and rather comfortable.

Three reasons why we don't give a "great" rating: 1. We tried to reach the hotel reception several times by phone and email, only to receive a last minute answer. To talk to reception we had to walk all the way to the hotel (15min away). Not very convenient when you are here just for 48hrs. 2. There were only two capsules of coffee for a group of 5 people, and the coffee machine needed capsules in a format we couldn't find in stores. Same with toilet paper, there was not enough. These things are so basic to have that it was quite irritating to feel that costs were cut there (+ not being able to reach reception about it) 3. Very strong smell of cannabis in the entire building, probably linked to the store next door

Excelente tamanho para uma família, 3 quartos e dois banheiros. Cozinha ampla com máquina de lavar. Área externa enorme para colocar as roupas para secar. Boa varanda para a rua.

Check-in foi feito em um hotel um pouco longe da propriedade. Houve vazamento de dados da Booking e recebi cobranças indevidas em nome de quem alugou. Isso me impediu de fazer o check-in online por medo de fraude.

The apartment was excellent and perfectly located in the heart of Madrid, right on Gran Vía. The location could not have been better—most of the major sightseeing attractions were within easy walking distance, which made exploring the city very convenient. The apartment itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, it was a great choice, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

I wish the apartment had two twin beds in the room, as the full bed was too small for two adults. In addition, the communication was very poor. I sent multiple messages requesting the entry code, but did not receive a response in time. I took an Uber from the train station and still did not have the code by the time I arrived at the apartment. Because of this, I had to ask the driver to take me to a hotel so I could check in there instead, which resulted in additional cost. I eventually received the code after reaching the hotel. If the communication had been more prompt and responsive, this inconvenience could have been avoided.
