"Lovely stay in the heart of Juneau"

10.0

What a lovely stay in downtown Juneau. We were there for a wedding, and the staff acknowledged that and our role in the wedding and really helped us to enjoy the stay.! Great breakfast bar in the morning with a wide variety, centrally located, and, over the years, we have watched as the Silverbow has grown into the great and yet modest hotel that it is today. Great work!

"Great Variety of Features"

8.0

Stayed 3 nights in a one-bedroom king room, which I chose because I wanted a room with a kitchenette. The hotel is in a great location, and it has just about every feature you could ask for -- breakfast, espresso, hot tubs (with sign-in sheets to easily reserve private use), smart tvs, blackout shades, self check-in, laundry, nice toiletries. All the staff I interacted with were great as well, and I appreciated the ability to text quick questions. The imperfect things were the price, limited parking, no elevator, and some of the design details in the room were kind of cheap looking (sorry! nothing bad, just think more like a decent "flip" rather than a high-end renovation). I would definitely stay here again if wanting to be downtown.

"Tina and Chloe were very helpful, We mentioned that a night light would be great and it was provided"

Breakfast was a bit unusual, but everything was quality and available from a cooling cabinet, coffee was great.

When on vacation I enjoy being served a breakfast. Here it was self service, but it was OK

The property is historically rich in that it housed a local bakery for decades and now has a great Italian restaurant with wood-fired pizza (and blackened cauliflower) oven. Plus not one but two hot tubs with umbrella hats. Fantastic breakfasts included in tiny kitchen just off the cozy lobby. Lovely!

The staff was so friendly and accommodating and provided lots of information about the area. Great location. The continental breakfast had everything we needed. The hotel provided nice touches such as robes and flip flops for the hot tub. In addition to the standard shampoo, conditioner and body wash, they added a small specialty soap as a gift. We would stay here again.

Booked last minute due to moving across country, job started earlier than expected and checked out a day early. Was still charged for the full reservation. Nice people but not the friendliest cancelation policy for a hotel. $734 for 10 hours is a bit steep with no offer for compensation, not even a discount on a future stay.

"Fun Stay for Wedding in Juneau"

8.0

We stayed at the Silver Bow Inn which is in a great downtown location that we found to be in close walking distance to everything. The building is 100 years old which is very old for Juneau. As a result, the rooms are small and each one seems to be decorated and laid out differently. While small, they are well stocked, little shelves and hooks tucked in everywhere, including drawers that pull out from under the bed. The staff was available from early in the am to 10 am at night and they were very accommodating, even getting me a spot remover when I needed it. The lobby is small but cozy and there are drinks, snacks, and chocolate chip cookies available at all times of day. I thought the serve yourself breakfast was well done. There were cold cereal, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, and English muffins available as well as pop tarts. Juneau accommodations are very expensive. Our room was $700 a night (including taxes and a $20 a day amenity fee) and, while it was a fun quirky place to stay, it wasn’t high end.
