The Old Stables is full of character and steeped in history. We had booked for Mothers Day weekend. My Mum was delighted. The beds were super comfortable with quality linen. We all slept soundly. Jeff was a wonderful host. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious, with good quality produce which was very much appreciated by all. Strong Wi-Fi so our teenage daughters were also happy. And the pooch clearly felt at home and loved running up and down the two different sets of stairs. We really couldn’t fault anything. I’m sure we’ll be back one day. If dining out we highly recommend the Thatched Inn around 10 mins drive away. Excellent food and quite reasonable. And the café on the high street. Very good value. Stowe Gardens RHS is well worth a visit as well. Thanks Jeff for a truly memorable weekend.

"A nice stay, but The Old Stables will suit some people more than others."

Quaint old house. Central to the small town's facilities (restaurants, pubs, corner shop)

As a guest, you feel very much that you are in the owners property. There's no separate area for guests.

"Lovely cottage house."

Jeff the host was lovely. The house and room were full of character and very homely and clean. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice breakfast laid out in the morning for us to help ourselves to. The bed was very comfortable and the location was spot on for us. 2 seconds walk to the bell pub for dinner.

"Scrumptious breakfast and beautiful spot"

Jeff was very kind and accommodating. We were travelling on a cycling trip and he found a safe space inside for us to store our 4 bikes. The space itself was beautiful and immaculately clean. The perfect spot for a weekend away! Oh and breakfast was exceptional!

Lovely, clean and warm accommodation with a cute vibe! We really enjoyed our stay here and the house was very centrally located. The breakfast bread was amazing! It felt very relaxed staying in the B&B - thanks Jeff for hosting us!

Ideal location for our needs. Very welcoming and helpful host. Very comfortable stay.

Car parking could become an issue, but that’s beyond the control of the host.
