Breakfast was very basic, Tea & Coffee facilities not very good, lack of fruit.

Cooked breakfast was luke warm/cold when served from buffet. (day 2) Squeeky fire door in corridor that kept me awake most of the night.

The location was helpful for access to the motorway and just under an hour to the NEC. The hotel itself is quirky; wood panelling, uneven floors! The little displays are interesting to show its history. Parking was free at the back of the hotel. The room and bathroom were a lovely size, with high ceilings, but the shower didn't have much power. The bedding and towels were clean. The breakfast was as expected; we mostly stuck to cereal, fruit and yoghurt, but there was a cooked breakfast available. Nice to walk around the town first thing in the morning. There was a small Morrisons just a couple of minutes walk up the road to pick up a few bits and pieces.

It was a very hot weekend in May and the room was quite hot and stuffy. This might have been ok if it wasn't so noisy outside so we kept the windows closed, however, the room faced the main road and it was very noisy with people and traffic; the sliding windows as well as the older metal windows did little to drown out the sound. As a light sleeper, my foam earplugs weren't quite as effective as I'd hoped but if you're a heavy sleeper, this might not be a problem for you!

An excellent comfortable room which was very spacious. Location was ideal for where I needed to be. Included parking. Lovely view of the garden.
