Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre

We loved the ocean view , would of liked if we got breakfast even though we used Expedia

Rooms are showing wear, in need of updating. Carpet stained and worn. No place to get a coffee only in the morning unless you wanted to have breakfast in the dining room. Drove 5 minutes up the road to the gas station for coffee. We enjoyed the live entertainment (Blake Johnson) last night in the lounge. The food served there looked very good, but we had already eaten.

Most stuff was good... they offered me up upgrade to a suite wich was ok ..but the original room i had booked was an ocean view and when i declined the upgrade and just wanted a simple room with san ocean veiw they said i couldnt give me one... which was very dissappointing..

I was disappointed. The "resort" was very dated and for that reason very overpriced. The view is wonderful but it's hard to see on the balcony when sitting down due to the rails. The pool area is small with no umbrellas and plastic chairs. The upper deck near the dining room has few chairs and if there is a group there there will be a sign saying "deck is closed." The tennis court has not been maintained. The towels were worn thin, the shampoo, etc were scant. It was just not what I would have expected for the cost. We were surprised we could not even get a free cup of coffee in the lobby in the morning. There were just no hospitality perks. that we would have expected. Oak Island Resort was ok because of the view, but definitely did not meet my expectations for the cost.

Very picturesque and relaxing location. Nice place to spend some time

We were traveling with our Sheltie and found the accommodations to be excellent. The facilities and outdoor areas were great. The staff were pleasant and very helpful.The location is fabulous with lots of walking trails nearby. We would definitely stay here again

Great location, hotel and restaurant in desperate need of renovation

Experience was pleasant. Unfortunately the first room we had was very noisy due to a wedding happening on 2 days of our 3 day stay. The 3 night we heard people shouting and screaming on the corridors post wedding reception during the early morning hours. Sleep was impossible.

Very nice resort with indoor and outdoor pools. Salt water hot tub. Food for dining room was pricey. Nice view over the water and they had entertainment
