The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, it is very close to the town centre, and the breakfast was excellent.

The decor is a bit tired.

Excellent room. Friendly staff.

Dinner was at 6.30 - a bit late for us! Menu seemed to be adjusted every day to accommodate the number of diners. For example Breakfast on the first day was just the buffet but the next day you could have anything from the breakfast menu, i.e. kippers, smoked haddock, etc. which we found a bit odd! The roast duck the first night was perfect but the roast beef the next day was disappointing. Puddings were super.
