Location was lovely

Super hot day and no fans in the room. Top floor room and not suitable for those with mobility issue. A lot of stairs and no lift

Loved the decor and the view from the room. It was very cozy and comfortable.

Some leaks from the shower, no hand towels and toiletries (just hand soap).

We were made feel very welcome. The setting alone was worth it — stunning views over the harbour and coastline. It’s beautifully decorated with a real sense of personality. Nothing felt generic or corporate with thoughtful artwork on the walls, books tucked into every corner, and common lounge areas. The location is excellent too, with great restaurants and cafes within minutes.

I’ll be honest: I almost didn’t book after reading some of the picky reviews on here, and that would have been a real mistake. This place is a genuine treasure.

The room has a great view and was quite clean. But the bed was extremely cheap and uncomfortable. The bedding was too small for the bed and cheap linen. The room was tired and trying to achieve an antique look but failed due to cheap damaged furniture. There is no breakfast offered which is known when your booking. There were no toiletries offered accept two tiny soaps. I expected much more from this stay at this price point which was £190 with a dog, I wouldn’t recommend unless it was £120. Try the Falstaff around the corner nicer and cheaper.
