Easy check in and out. Friendly staff, close to everthing

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We arrived after hours, as organised with staff over The phone even though it was hard to get through via phone. Upon arrival the place immediately didn’t feel right, or appear near as good as advertised! There was a smashed door on the outside of the property. We proceeded to the stairs to make our way up to the room, they were extremely dirty and stained, as well as rotting. We went to our room, and upon opening the door, the smell was horrific. The furniture was in poor condition and we left within 30 seconds! We sat outside in our car trying to book other accommodation. There was none available but we still refused to stay here due to it feeling extremely unsafe and the smell of the room being so revolting we would have ended up vomiting. We decided if it came to it we’d be safer and more comfortable sleeping in OUR CAR! We phoned the after hours number and were advised to hand the key into the after hours box and email the email address on the website stating we weren’t staying and why. We did this. Phoned the next morning to be told no refund and not allowed to speak with the manager! It’s against ‘policy’ to get a refund, even though Southside International AND Wotif broke the law (which trumps policy), by false advertising and not offering a safe or place to stay of reasonable standard. We fought this with Southside International and Wotif for multiple days! Neither were helpful or happy to negotiate. Off to ACCC we go!

Paid extra for the deluxe spa suite with a kitchenette. No mention of a shared patio with a foor that didnt lock through to the next room of strangers. The kitchenette was a terrible hot plate that didnt get a pan hot enough to cook bacon . Room didnt get serviced unless requested . Skip where take rubbish was constantly overflowing and filled by the neighborhood. Toenail clippings were found upon arrival in room . The windows were nailed shut and covered in graffiti which was also on a hanging picture and the coffee table .they charge like its a decent place . Dont be fooled.

Skip this one. Very dirty smells. Restaurant are closed. Bad location. I could go on....

Comfortable stay in the room but congested parking area with lots of large work vehicles. Noisy when we were trying to sleep.

Really quiet, comfortable accommodation. Lots of places for dinner nearby. Easy base to explore Cairns due to the bus stop right outside!

Good motel

The rooms are very dated and lack airflow, the room was messy, an old blanket on the beds caused itchyness and I felt like I was getting bites on my legs and body. The bathroom had no fan, the bathroom floor had water run the full way across, no actual shower area. Fan was covered in dust and I would not turn it on as it was layered on the fan blades. Staff reception staff were very lovely, and the on site parking was appreciated. Overall if I had known what I was going in to then fine, but I felt the photos did not match the property and the cancellation policy did not allow for me to have a change in mind.
