"Brilliant Hotel but beware of flight times."

10.0

Brilliant hotel. The buffet menu is the best we have experienced over many years of travelling. Staff very friendly, and rooms cleaned every day to a very high standard. Only downside is that we booked with Jet 2 holidays and the flights only go at 4.30pm in the afternoon, and be warned if you use them you will not arrive around 10pm at night. Probably better to use TUI as they have more flights, and you can arrive at a more acceptable time.

"Relaxing break on a lovely island"

10.0

Our third visit to this hotel, we stayed from 5th September with Jet2. Check in was friendly and efficient. We had requested a studio apartment on a high floor which we got. The room was spacious and comfortable with a pool view. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and bedding and towels were changed regularly. We were initially supplied with two bottles of water to put in the fridge. We bought a 5 litre bottle from the on-site shop which we used to top up throughout the week. We stayed all inclusive. The breakfast choice was very good with plenty of choice and the omelettes were excellent. We had option of using the restaurant for lunch but usually opted to use the poolside snack bar. The evening meals tended to have a theme with a comprehensive choice, we always found plenty to eat and the food was well cooked. Drinks were served at the table with a choice of wines, beer, soft drinks and water. The staff in the restaurant were always very pleasant and efficient, Marta looked after us very well. The bars were well stocked with an excellent range of drinks. The service at both was friendly and efficient during the day and in the evening. Manu, Melany, Sebastian, David and Bryan all did an excellent job. If you didn't want to use the beach there were plenty of sunbeds available around both pools, pool towels changed twice a week. The pool area was cleaned every morning and the water was checked daily. Whilst we were there we saw some maintenance being done around the edge of a pool which did not affect it's use. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel making it easy to explore the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we thought it was very good value and would happily return.

"Tired Hotel"

8.0

Had a great relaxing time , lovley island . That said the Hotel itself needs some Tlc , our room had some damaged furniture, the outside had a lot of flaking paint which was blown onto the pool area and balconies during some strong winds . Little things let it down only shower gel/shampoo was provided and the hand soap wasn’t upto much , not really what you expect from a 4 star. Food choice was very good but the main restaurant was very busy , backs of the chairs sticky again needs tidying up and the South beach restaurant was disappointing only ate there once in the evening we were the only ones in there yet the service was poor. Large sun beds were really dirty and €65 to use one was way too much , no surprise only ever saw 1or 2 being used. Would consider a return if I could be sure these things have been addressed.

"Good price quality balance"

10.0

Great Hotel directly on the beautiful beach of playa de migjorn. The walls are a bit thin, but the noise wasn’t that loud. Perfectly normal for a hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was really friendly and welcoming.

"Good"

Friendly staff, but overall hotel seems very stuck in Spanish package holidays from the 1980s. Rooms and public areas desperately need a modern refurb, breakfast buffet pretty standard (OK machine coffee). Gym woefully equipped (not even dumbells and no AC!). Evening entertainment 1970s style Eurovision cringe. Lovely spot by the sea, beach and boardwalk to bars, cafes and restaurants. Nice pool, if that's your thing. Handy little mini supermarket on site. Shame you have to rely on taxis to visit other parts of the island (need more segregated country lanes and a *reliable* bus service, that actually turns up!). Would be good to have more information on sustainability of hotels.

"Lovely place just not 4 star"

8.0

We arrived after 12 hours travelling at 2.30pm to be told our room wasn't ready and we could leave our number and they would ring us when it was. We could leave our luggage with about 20 others in the open reception area. We chose not to do this! We sat outside in 30 degrees without the offer of a drink or any further information. Not cool. We noted that the TUI rep was on site so decided to ask a few questions about where to eat/things to see while we waited. Our questions were met with "the hotel don't like me to mention local places to eat". Well I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be independent and we are half board so it's a reasonable ask? Further questions were met with an explanation that the official meet and greet was at 11am the next day. Given that would be our first full day on the island we would not be missing it to stay inside for an hour. We returned to reception an hour and a half later after no phone call to be told our room was in fact now ready. No further information given other than our room number and meal times. 4 star to me, and this is personal and based on experience, means a few things. A welcome drink. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Water being freely available, be it in bottles or a refill station. Toiletries in the bathroom. None of those are here. (There's a shower gel in the bath ans 2 hand soaps in packets but these are not replaced so please pack your own!) The hotel and room always has a faint smell of mould/must about it. There has been a leak apparently but it really waa quite off putting at times. We caught a bus to the Hippie Market - do not bother with this! Its a craft market with mostly jewellery stalls. We caught a taxi back with another couple after 20 mins. We caught the bus to Ses Iletes. Stunning. But the bus driver charges us 10 euros when the rate is 6.40. We were then charged to return. Apparently this is not how it should be. Again if no one tells you how do you know?? The staff were professional but not friendly in our experience. No one, save the dining room staff, went above and beyond. Getting information was hard work. A welcome pack or page online would be a huge bonus. No one wants to waste precious time finding out the basics. I can fully appreciate the island not wanting tourism. Its stunning and unspoilt. But if its here and it has to be, then get behind it. Welcome people. The food is great. I'm gluten free and pescetarian and never had an issue. Waiting staff are proficient and slick and a credit to the hotel. The area is stunning. Absolutely nothing here save a few beach bars. Car scooter and bicycle hire on site. Very small shop onsite that is closed on a sunday so factor that in! I'd return but with supplies!!
