Vila Gale Marina Resort Hotel

We last stayed here in 2018 and couldn’t believe how dated this hotel has become, exactly the same as the first time we stayed back in 2012. We arrived early for our stay at 10am, as we entered reception area there was a smell like sewers, not nice at all (go to the crowne plaza if you want to smell a good hotel lol) this smell was there our entire stay. I have given 2 stars simply because they gave us our room early, otherwise it would have been one star. The reception area is dated and in need of upgrading with a better smell as you enter The lifts are not smooth and what’s with the silver duck rape around the outside of it? Same green carpets in the corridors, just disgusting and dirty The room furnishings were exactly the same, pictures, chairs, everything. Then comes the beds, ok if you like really hard mattress, you know when you put a sheet under the blankets in a child’s bed in case they wee in it, well these beds have that and every time you move the crinkle noise wakes you up. Bathrooms, well they’ve took the bath out, left the bath taps in and added a long shower hose that takes at least 5 minutes to warm up, the taps on the sink don’t hang over enough for you to get your tooth brush under. Very poor workmanship on installations, if a professional trades person done that in my house I wouldn’t be paying them. Food at breakfast was ok but basic again nothing had changed in the restaurant. Pool area is lovely apart from it’s windy. Hotels location to the marina is perfect This hotel may have been 4 star when it was built but I’d give it a 2 plus rating now. If you want a great hotel then domes lake is the best, booked already for next year to ensure I can get a room this time rather than leaving it and having to stay in a poor hotel like this. I would gut this hotel, rip it all out and modernise it and you would have a great hotel. Sorry this is just how we felt about it, never again Staff were very nice and helpful!

We stayed here for 5 nights. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely,bed comfortable and cleaned every day. Couldn't fault this place maybe needs a bit of updating in parts but so near marina and everything else you Couldn't find a better place to stay.

Lovely hotel x very clean x up to date x comfy beds and pillows x spacious room x We had a Sea view room x great location x 3 minutes away from the beach x opposite the marina x lots of shops x Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel x mc Donald’s 2’mins walk x supermarket in reach x Thai restaurant down the road also x watching the sunrise/sunset was beautiful. Only thing I fault is the food, we did half board and it wasn’t worth it at all. Very basic food every single day

Good hotel in a convenient area with easy access to the marina and the beach. The bus stop is nearby too for exploring elsewhere. The hotel is well maintained and was a very relaxing place to stay. The room with views of the marina and sea was comfortable, with a balcony equipped with table and chairs. We were lucky that our room had the sun on the balcony all afternoon and we also had the sun setting in view as well. In the hotter months the sun might be a bit too much in the room but the air conditioning was very quiet, controllable and efficient. We had twin beds that were okay, my wife thought they were comfortable but I thought mine was too firm. The buffet food was of good quality and a good selection to choose from at breakfast and dinner. One thing I thought was poor was the siting of the grill where the chef cooked fresh items while you wait, it is in the centre of the hot food area and people queuing would block access to the other hot dishes on offer and some seemed a bit miffed having to move to allow you to get to the other dishes, I think they were afraid of losing their place in the queue and probably think you are pushing in. That really is the only thing I would fault. Being late season the evening entertainment was not much consisting mainly of a singer but its only a short walk to the marina with all the bars ect. Overall I would be happy to return

From the moment we walked thru the door till the second we left this hotel excelled in every respect. Warm welcome , hard working pleasant staff, great room and air con, pool plus facilities really good and food (breakfast in our case)was varied and really fresh and tasty. Finally the cost was real value for money!! Well done to all at the Vila Gale Marina!!

This was our second time at this hotel. The hotel is nice, and clean. Great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Thaina and Mariana, the outdoor entertainment girls were very outgoing and accommodating to our music requests. Poolside is much better with some music on:)

Everything was great, beds are not comfortable at all.

Our room was on the 7th floor & the view from the balcony was beautiful, beds were made everyday & fresh towels were provided too. The breakfast option was great with so many options. Its just a few minutes walk to the marina where you find great restaurants & bars not to mention shopping. I certainly would stay there again with a doubt. We even got a free goodbye drink the day before we left & met with the manager to give our views which was nice👌👌. You just cannot go wrong with this hotel, the staff are very helpful & polite too.

It is steps away from the marina. Staff were very polite and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
