Easy as usual, no hassle

Don't stay here. The rooms are NOT clean. Cigarette burns in the blankets, trash everywhere and I was told that if I pay online in order to extend my stay, that I would have to leave and come back at 2:30. I've never been told that by a hotel NEVER. In order to extend my stay and not have to leave I had to pay in person and was charged 25$ more than I would have to pay online. Unreal

Stayed here two nights while having some work done on my condo. Happened to notice it while coming into El Cajon on a back road that becomes W. Main Street. The architecture appears to be postwar modern, probably quite spiffy 70 years ago but not so much now. The Denny's next door, in architectural similar style, closed some time ago and the building is in disrepair. There's a Sombrero's Mexican food, an Arco station, and a Seven/11 across the street. It's a short drive or a brisk walk to the center of town, and there was a free concert in the plaza by the library my first evening there. Had my apprehensions on first seeing it, but it was inexpensive and in a convenient location. I-8 is directly to the east, but the freeway noise isn't noticeable. The place is otherwise quiet and peaceful. The rooms are a bit aged, but everything is clean and functional. The staff is cordial and businesslike. A pleasant surprise!
