Big room, comfortable bed

A return visit to the Sofitel Queenstown, a glorious boutique 5-star hotel with French luxury in the heart of Queenstown, was sublime! We had an all-round wonderful stay and treated magnificently by all the staff. It’s no wonder his hotel rates so highly for the staff, amenities, position and its offerings ★★★★★ The Sofitel boasts a perfect position - only metres to the main area of town, shops, wharf, restaurants, Queenstown gardens and the lake. Our luxurious room with high-end touches and a large living area was perfect with a breathtaking ‘Remarkables’ view. The bed was superb, and we enjoyed the beautiful marble bathroom with heated floors and the two-person spa bath. Breakfast each morning in the Left Bank Bistro was delicious, as were the canapes/drinks at Le Salon Rouge in the evening. Car parking was a breeze with attentive service from the team. It was simply an outstanding break and all the staff we interacted with were wonderful – all very friendly, welcoming and professional. A big thankyou to: Front Office, Reservations & Concierge: the brilliant Pradnya and Harriet with Valerie, Luca and Tristan; Le Salon Rouge: the lovely Karishna and Naoife with JP and Remi; Left Bank Bistro: the ever happy and smiling Karla with HaThu and Camila. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for the truly wonderful experience my wife and I enjoyed during our recent stay at the Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. Every member of your team—from the front desk and concierge to the staff in the bar and restaurant—was exceptionally and the food was excellent and professional, attentive, and warm. Their friendly manner and willingness to go above and beyond made such a lasting impression on us all. It was clear that each team member takes great pride in creating a relaxed and memorable atmosphere for every guest. I was particularly impressed by the seamless coordination between departments and the evident sense of teamwork throughout the hotel. These qualities speak volumes about the culture of excellence and hospitality that you foster as Operations Manager. It was a real pleasure meeting you personally, and it’s easy to see how your leadership contributes so positively to the overall guest experience. Our stay was comfortable, elegant, and filled with those thoughtful touches that make Sofitel Queenstown so special. The worst bed ever. Eclectic decor around the hotel.

Great location, great rooms, a but too much noise

Very comfortable room, clean and inviting. Had excellent room service and couldn't fault anything. Had a relaxing time.

The only thing I didn't like was that when we asked our room to be made, it would often be done very late in the afternoon or early evening, by which time we had already returned after a day out. (The milk frother wasn't cleaned and had to be washed in the bathroom sink without dishwashing soap.)

We loved everything - our only minor issue was the room temperature at night and beds too soft - very minor issues Staff were excellent

Perfect location within walking distance to everything! Nice decor, impeccable service, comfortable rooms and the heated bathroom floor was an added bonus. We enjoyed our time at the Sofitel Queenstown!
