"Worst Customer Service, Worst Travel Experience"

My family of 5 had a reservation (and it was already paid!) for July 4th Weekend. When we tried to check in, they told us that they were oversold and an owner took our unit. They would NOT help us find another hotel and gave us a number to call (who tried to put us up at a Motel 6). No sympathy for the 3 young children they had just displaced. Needless to say it was next to impossible to find a new room (2 rooms actually, as we are a family of 5... the entire reason we booked a 2 bedroom suite) in Newport on the 4th of July. They were rude and just awful and I would never attempt to stay at a Wyndham again because apparently they can just cancel your reservation even though you paid for your room.

The resort is excellent with great amenities. However I had a bad experience during check-in. I had booked a 3BR condo for 3 nights in May, all the way back in Jan 2025. Upon checking in, I was told that the 3BR condo is not available and I had to wait 15-20 mins and was provided a 2BR condo. I was also told that I would receive a refund for the differential amount. However after checkout I didn’t receive any refund after multiple follow ups. Thus folks beware about what you are booking and what reservation you will get.

"Great location & amenities"

Went to Boston for a graduation but could not find economical local accommodation so decided on the Long Wharf and we commuted. It is quite a distance but did not need to travel every day. So glad we chose this location. We had a 3 bed, 2 bath unit with sofa bed, kitchen & laundry. It was great for our family of 8. Unfortunately, the beds in 2 rooms were only singles but the couples made it work. Washer/dryer is tired & needs an upgrade. We did not require housekeeping but staff were very helpful when we needed new towels, etc. Pool and hot tub were welcome at the end of the day and the fire pit was very inviting! Did not experience the gym or movie theatre but great amenities to have. (Some renovations are being done to the property, I think.) The front desk staff were friendly & helpful. The location in Newport is excellent - walking distance to the shopping, wharves, and restaurants. (Try the little seafood restaurant right across from in the shipyard parking lot - it's amazing!!) Would recommend this property & would love to return one day!

They were doing construction on some of the units on the property which was not a problem, but there was some kind of construction going on outside our window and across the street that was going on during the middle of the night which kept us up. Called the front desk and they said they could not do anything about it. Units are in need of an upgrade, but the two bedroom town house was very spacious

The space was plenty big. It was three bedrooms with a pullout couch in the living room. The table was very awkwardly position so you really couldn't fit six people for eating. We were just using it for sleeping for a graduation. There was plenty of space. It was very conveniently located next to America's Cup Ave.

"Nice resort, indifferent staff."

Nice resort. Clean. Spacious units. Decorating is rather basic/plain. The shower was ridiculously slippery. I fell, and was not able to get up because everything was too slippery to get a good footing. 911 was called. Talk about embarassing! The front desk was aware of the fall (they were the ones who placed the 911 call), and we complained about the slippery shower. However, it was not until I was checking out that they told me that non-slip mats were available, on-request only. Wouldn't you think that they would have sent one up to the room after the fall?!
