Location was easy to find

The Bedding was so uncomfortable we kept searching to try and find the top sheet because it was so rough and uncomfortable. Upon check-in at midnight, night audit was having issues with payment. we let her know we paid online. she argued until i showed her the receipt. then like magic everything began working. to show her appreciation for being wrong she put us in the furthest room from the lobby area as possible (literally) and had to navigate the maze that was the design of this hotel layout, which also led us back outside to find the room, with two sleeping children we still had sleeping in our arms. We joked the entire way through the maze that we doubted the keys would work properly because she was such a courteous employee but to our surprise they did work which was the only positive thing about our stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful through a series of inconveniences.

The first room we were given had a very strong cleaner smell and the directions to it had us park in the back where it was all handicap spaces. The entry was a sort of back door that went through the area where laundry was being done. We weren't happy with this so drove back around to the front to ask for another room. The second (also "non-smoking" room had a very strong smoking odor. We went back to the front and asked for another room. FYI it seemed that every hallway door to the outside had at least one person smoking just outside. One of the people there walked with us to check a list of five more rooms all on the second floor (no elevator) to find a suitable one. The first of these was okay. But I suggested to the person that they should consider having designated smoking areas away from non-smokers.
