The location was superb. The staff, restaurant and food was exceptional. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a central location close to the action. Felt totally safe and had the most amazing time in Mexico City.

Breakfast was well balanced, mixture of fruit, bread and a Mexican option.

An issue with the restaurant with a reservation ignored then walk ins allowed in front of us.

Nothing negative at all

This hotel is in a great location very close to the Plaza de la constitution. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They even gave us a take away breakfast on the last morning when we had to leave early for the airport. Due to it's central location it was possible to walk to the Plaza de la constitution /Zocl0a in 5-10 minutes. The san Juan market and the mercado de la sonora is approx 20 minutes walk from the hotel

Groups of people congregate in the square in front of the hotel smoking and playing loud music. The music usually is over by 11.30pm each night. We preferred to walk on the side street rather than through the square to reach the hotel entrance. My Only disappointment with this hotel is that €50 disappeared from my back pack whilst staying at this hotel. I had left two €50 notes in my pack pack in my room and one note disappeared during my stay. This brings my rating of this hotel down .

Lovely 18-room hotel in a sympathetically renovated old building just five minutes walk from the main square, Zocalo and close to two metro stations. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. The shower was excellent, with lovely toiletries from L'Occitane. Breakfast is included and is super delicious (fresh fruit, bread, Mexican specialties, omelets and porridge). The top floor restaurant, Tezontle, was a real highlight: Oaxacan with a modern twist and excellent cocktails and a huge range of mescals. The front desk service was superb: really helpful and friendly. Note that many don't have exterior windows and instead look into a light sunny covered central courtyard. And there's not a lot of soundproofing, so bring earplugs!

Dark rooms and creaky floors.

This is a lovely hotel in a historic building. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant was excellent. Downside, our room was interior without a window, the a/c was quite noisy. The location in city center is convenient to historic sites and metro but not a very pretty area for strolling around.
