Hotel Roma

Very organized!

Beautiful hotel with amazing history in a beautiful location. We were able to walk out from the hotel and the square was 2 minutes away. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast and coffee were great. Our air conditioning didn't work for the first couple of hours that we were there, but the staff promptly fixed it. The only downside was the wifi was really horrible. Even when you went into the lobby it was bad. Other than that we were totally happy.

Staffs, breakfast and location are excellent. Room is dated. But we did not mind as we spent most of the time out touring.

This was a solid hotel with good staff. You can drive up to back door, where there is a reception area for cars to unload. Call ahead to reserve parking as they will valet park and return car at scheduled time. Most attractions are walking distance from hotel along with dining and shopping outside the front of hotel on pedestrian only streets. The small cafe across from back door was very accommodating as the guy who owns it is very friendly vs the larger cafe around the corner who avoided tourists. The town is working class dominated so there are some rough areas, but it was never threatening. People from bologna we met were super friendly… overall… engaging and fun to talk with once invoked.

Excellent location just off the Piazza Maggiore. Comfortable and well equipped rooms, attentive staff, good range if breakfast items, good value for money. Highly recommended for a city stay in Bologna.

Customer service upon check in was unfriendly. Room was dark and not the cleanest. False advertising from Expedia re their rooftop bar and restaurant- was not open until August. This was the main reason for booking this hotel.

Excellent location within walking distance of wonderful sights and restaurants. Our room had an air-conditioning system with a nasty high-pitched whistle, which would have made sleeping impossible. The hotel moved us to another room - the only downside was that the bathroom in that room was very small. Arrived by car at rear of hotel - they sorted out the permit for the low traffic zone and parked the car off-site, no problem. Would stay here again!

All in all it was a great experience. My only issue was with the taxi service they partner with. I felt uncomfortable and taken advantage of as a solo female traveler.

This was my first time at Hotel Roma in Bologna and I would definitely stay there again. It's a grand old hotel, but it has been updated. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms and common areas are clean and comfortable. The location cannot be beat! It's in the city center, everything is walkable and the dining, shopping and sights are right outside.
