The Green Granite North Conway, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Hot water was out at the property in the morning, so I didn't feel comfortable to take a shower before checking out. Not sure what caused it but that was not expected or acceptable under normal circumstances.

Ive stayed plenty of times at this hotel and its always been a great stay. This time the room was very dirty and wasnt ready when we went to check in. Staff always friendly but never had it dirty like this

Cleanliness was a major issue especially the rugs, my two years old grandson found an earplug and put it in his mouth, no trash pick up in the room and the noise during the night were the major issues

Functional and safe appreciated being able to bring the dog

Let’s see….1. We booked one night and then added 4 additional nights. We were asked to check out and move rooms which did not make sense to me. All the rooms are the same, except some have 2 beds. We packed everything up and received a call that it was ok to stay in the same room. 2. We received a call from my parents a few days later, who said that the property did not have them staying and asked them to check out ASAP. We were out enjoying our day and I had to stop, pull up the reservation and send it to my parents who showed the front desk. 3. The last 2 days there was NO HOT WATER! 4. The indoor pool was closed our entire stay because a child vomited in the pool area. Which also meant no hot tub either. 5. The room was musty and we went out to the patio and there were 2 empty hard liquor bottles on our patio. 6. The front desk clerks were very nice and helpful. 7. The coffee was really good and the breakfast was not bad, except the way they served Canadian bacon. Ewww.

The hotel has gone down hill some in the past year. There was damage to our room (the closet door was off track, under the bed was dirts, the sink was stained, window shade half ripped down, window screen broken) I also had 2 rooms booked through Expedia. When I arrived I was told by the hotel that Expedia cancelled one of my room reservations. Expedia says the hotel cancelled it. Either way we needed a second room so had to book another night of stay and ended up paying almost double because we were booking night of stay. I was then told by Expedia that the room rate that I paid to lock in could change at any time. Between the uncertainty of a room being cancelled by either the hotel or Expedia and the cost being almost double as well as Expedia telling me the locked in rate I secured could change any time they wanted I won’t ever be booking with the hotel again nor will I ever book through Expedia again because neither can be trusted at this point
