"A complete disappointment — far below Hilton standards"

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad and, as a Hilton Honors Gold member who has stayed at many properties across the chain, this was by far the most frustrating experience I’ve had in a Hilton hotel. Service and communication The basics simply didn’t work. Inquiries through the Hilton app went unanswered. A late checkout that was confirmed at arrival was ignored the next morning, with calls to the room as if it had never been discussed. Getting a proper invoice took six reminder emails, more than four phone calls, and four days longer than it should have. One agent forwarded my request to another department, where I was essentially laughed off and told to contact the GM directly. The bigger problem was the gatekeeping. Multiple requests for the General Manager’s contact details were denied, promised and never delivered, or simply ignored. My main point of contact promised the GM’s number and then went silent. The invoice only arrived after I made clear I would reach out via LinkedIn, since email wasn’t getting a response. Several replies I did receive contained only attachments — no greeting, no message, nothing. Not once during the entire stay or follow-up did I hear a “welcome,” a “thank you for being a Hilton Honors member,” or a simple “sorry” when things went wrong. Room and facility condition The maintenance side was equally poor. The shower head and several pieces of furniture were visibly covered in dust. The fridge door was broken and unusable. A light fixture blinked constantly throughout the stay. Even the parking exit barrier was defective. Bottom line This wasn’t one bad shift or a single unlucky interaction — it was a consistent pattern of dismissiveness, broken promises, and neglected upkeep across the entire stay. I genuinely had to remind myself this was a Hilton property. If you’re a Hilton Honors member used to a certain standard, or simply expect basic professionalism from a business hotel, look elsewhere in Frankfurt. There are far better options nearby.

"Leider eine negative Erfahrung."

Leider war das Hotelzimmer schlecht gereinigt. Außerdem zeigten sich viele Hinweise, dass beim Putzen über längere Zeit keiner richtig hingesehen hat. Verkalkte Amaturen, Schimmel im Kühlschrank, Flecken an den Wänden, Haare im Bett. Leider habe ich mich überhaupt nicht wohl gefühlt. Auf eine Meldung ans Hotel kam keine Reaktion.
