Genoeg ruimte, faciliteiten waren goed, heerlijk ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Activiteit in de avond was ook wel eens leuk. Livebandje of een entertainer. Maar een enkele keer bij gezeten want elke avond in de stad zelf doorgebracht op loopafstand.

De kamer was heel slecht. Kamer 106. Boven de centrale hal. Dus vrij vroeg hoorde je de stoelen schuiven en muziek van de centrale hal. Ook in de avond. Grote vochtplek in de ingebouwde kast van een lekkende airconditioning of riolering. Je hoorde wanneer de WC werd gebruikt van de verdieping erboven. Zwarte schimmel boven de zeep dispencer in de douche. Tevens ook op een heel vervelende plaats gehangen dat als je onder de douche staat met de schouders tegen dat ding aan komt. Tevens was er een mierenplaag de 1e dag op de kamer dat langs het TV meubel naar boven kwam lopen. Tevens lekte de kraan en de handdoekhouder. Het laatste was erg vervelend omdat de handdoeken al nat waren voor je ze kon gebruiken. Ze hebben het proberen op te lossen maar kwam telkens terug. Bij uitcheck bleeken ze te weten van de vochtplek, maar als je dat weet dan verhuur je die kamer niet meer tot het opgelost is. Totaal niet professioneel en "schoon" gevoel.

The location was great. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okey.

I was pretty disappointed upon arrival to the room as it was not as expected based on the listing. The room was very worn off compared to the pictures, also smaller. It was also very cold with no way to heat it up. Upon arrival there were no slippers or robes in the room (the floor was freezing). Upon asking, one set was for adult other for a kid. After returning it, we the other set will be brought to the room, but it was not and we had to ask again. The heating in the bathroom was also not working, hence we were not able to dry any of our things (bathing suits, towels). Some of the electricity outlets in the room were also not working. We were told it will be fixed, but it did not happen. The spa is nice, however, the shower is next to the toilet and inside the shower the smell is not very pleasant. There was also a construction 2 meters from our balcony. The balcony door was not opening. No actual shower amenities in the bathroom (which I believe is pretty standard for a 4 start hotel nowadays). During the first breakfast we asked for cappuccino and were given coffee from the pack, and also a pot of coffee (but it was only hot water inside) and milk. When we re-asked about it, in case there was a miscommunication we were brough two cups of coffee and given a bill for 11 eur (although I paid 12 upon check out), for that coffee. No notice that it will be charged or how much it will cost. Just for reference, anywhere in the city the coffee cost 3-4 eur.

Good location, terrace bar, facilities were good.

Noisy dogs near by constantly barking. Room wasn’t set up to what I paid for. No robes for sauna, no wine in room when I got there as part of my package. Bar staff seems grumpy, I know it’s a tough job but they barely even smiled/acknowledged you. Parking expensive and drinks were overpriced.

We had such a lovely stay at TUI Blue Gardens. The staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond, even arranging an early breakfast for my friend and me before our early check-out for the Pico do Arieiro sunrise hike. The spa was lovely, and the breakfast had so many delicious options. The staff truly made the stay ,so warm, helpful, and kind throughout.

Parking had to pay 15 euros per day it was not complimentary for the hotel guests. Everything else was absolutely lovely. Thank you.

Good location in Funchal, about 25 min from the airport by taxi/transfer! Very helpful staff, booked activities for us and answered questions. Pools were supernice and all of the bars, especially rooftop! The breakfast couldnt have been better! Allt to choose from and very fresh!

Our room got a bit of a bad view since there were renovations happening, but that didnt bother us too much since we spent the time at the hotel in the bars or pools!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel’s customer service. I had an issue with my booking and spent an entire month trying to resolve it. I contacted them multiple times through Booking, sent several emails, and even spoke to the reception staff in person. Unfortunately, none of my messages were answered. Each time I asked at the reception, I was told that the reservations department would contact me “tomorrow.” Tomorrow kept getting pushed to the next day, and then the next — but no one ever followed up. It was very frustrating to be repeatedly promised a response that never came. I also tried to get help through Booking, but unfortunately they w didn’t resolve the situation either. Overall, the lack of communication and responsibility from the hotel made this a very disappointing experience.
