Hempstead House Hotel

Lovely hotel and facilities spa was fantastic. The only thing for me was the bed. The mattress was a little bit too soft and I am used to a hard mattress so give me backache in the morning. Restaurant was good staff very accommodating and friendly but would definitely stay again and recommend a friends.

Overall fine for 1 night stay. Room generally comfortable - thankfully a fan available and outside temperature had dropped slightly otherwise would have been a much less comfortable experience. Dismayed to find faecal matter on the wall by the toilet. Attention to detail in housekeeping could be better - reported to reception who apologised, but no offer of goodwill for the experience was given. Disappointed to not be able to access the outside hot tub before 8am - by this time others entered the hot tub including a young child which surprised me. We were departing after breakfast so could not stay longer to use the spa facility. Breakfast ok - bacon was dried out as though it was under a heat lamp too long? Overall ok - parking was fine - only appeared to be a standard plug for electric vehicles- not usable for our vehicle so had to charge offsite which was also a shame.

Welcoming, and breakfast staff was extremely professional and great service. I think that they all are a great asset to the hotel. Spa a little bit small. Gym equipment top speck, how ever water fountain was warm water and in cone cups so not great, as needed to keep getting water. Over all looks lovely and great as a hotel or wedding venue. We actually got married here and the day was wonderful.

It was a fantastic nights stay, wish we could have stayed longer, as we were just passing through! The spa was amazing, lovely warm water temperature, great facilities with sauna and steam room, and really great planning to have family swim slots. The breakfast was delicious, great that it was included in the price of the room and staff so friendly. We stayed in the suite, not much extra a night but the room facilities were fantastic

Staff were extremely helpful at all time, nothing was too much trouble. Room was amazing with comfortable bed and breakfast was lovely. We didn’t use the spa facilities but found the parts of the hotel we did use to be extremely clean and welcoming.

Its a lovely Hotel, beautifully furnished and well looked after reception rooms. Unfortunately, I, the paying guest for all 4 rooms for 2 nights over the Easter weekend, I received the awful room with a slowing ceiling right behind the end of the bed where I had to walk past all the time to get to the bathroom. In the night I had banged my head, forgetting about the sloped ceiling. But the staff gave me another room right away the next morning. I did not realize that the hotel is a dog Hotel and it seems that there are not dedicated rooms just for guests with dogs as I had I am allergic to dogs. Breakfast and dinners were excellent. The pool and Sauna & Steam room are very beautiful but the regulation that on the Easter weekend the pool was closed on Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm and on the public Holiday Monday even earlier at 6pm was very annoying. On normal days the polos stays open until 10 pm, it seems that the guests have not the privilege for staying at the hotel at special occasions to get the same service than at normal times of the years, due to staff payment.

Great place to say, just check the pool times beforehand if you have kids as it was only 8am-9am and 4pm to 6pm.

Our one-night stay was absolutely wonderful. Every employee had a warm smile and made us feel genuinely welcome. The hotel was spotless, well-maintained, and provided a truly relaxing atmosphere. The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding—staff went above and beyond to accommodate our last-minute requests. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to visit again!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL****** It’s advertised as luxury but is no better than a holiday inn… in fact the beds at holiday inn are better, the beds are two single beds pushed together advertised as a super king size, when bought to the attention of the management the response is that’s what most hotels do? Yes maybe cheap low budget hotels but not ones advertised as luxury, complete RIP OFF. Worst hotel in Kent.
