Close to the beach

Breakfast, WiFi super slow, only 1 person working during a busy time of day to so long to get checked in myself and several guest were upset. Everyone had to take stairs because either elevator wasn’t working or was to slow

Location

The view wasn't so great. I expected the pool that I seen on the app would be the property itself. I didn't like I had cross the parking lot to go to the pool. Didn't not see the restaurant in the phone. Very disappointed.

The change in breakfast they could do better for the price you paying to stay there . Waffle and Begals and toast is not breakfast.

The location is nice. It is next to Doc Hollidays and the beach. The fishing pier is close and you can walk to several places. It is too far to walk to Pleasure Pier or Murdochs.

The first room had a broken AC, thermostat, and safe. Then the closet rod fell off the wall. The second room had no working vent in the bathroom , a cracked toilet, and constantly dripping water in the shower. We tried to use the balcony but the stink of Marijuana was so strong, it made it unpleasant.

Good "get away overnight" place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked having a room with a balcony where you could see the ocean.

I wasn't aware that the hotel was undergoing renovation at the time I booked my room, but the only real downfall was that you had to walk to the hotel next door for breakfast. Once the renovations are completed (which they may very well be by now), I will probably book a room again when I feel the need to "get away" for a day.

The only thing I liked about the property is that it was right next to the beach.

I disliked most things about my stay at the Hyatt. I paid over $2000 to stay there for a week. The management was rude. The staff was rude. It was dirty. The pool was filthy. There’s not enough carts to bring your luggage down. There’s a major things that need to change at that Hyatt. I tried to pay the first day. I was there with cash and they refused my money. Then on the seventh day, they called me and said I have to come pay, which is not a problem. But I’ve been trying to pay for a week and they wouldn’t take my money. The food the breakfast is disgusting. That was the worst stay in a hotel I’ve ever had in my entire life and I’m 44 years old. I do not appreciate the way they treated me. They were rude and considerate and they just didn’t want to talk to you and answer questions. So I will not be staying at the Hyatt in Galveston because they made me feel horrible. And like I said I spent over $2000 they shouldn’t have treated me that way. My phone number is 4095401251. I’m very displeased at the entire situation.
