I am writing to complain about my recent stay at Mercure Bristol North Grange Hotel from 25–26 May. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several issues with the room and service provided. The shower water repeatedly ran far too hot, and it was impossible to properly adjust the temperature. This created significant discomfort and raised safety concerns. In addition, only one towel was provided in the room. I contacted reception twice to request an additional towel, but the issue was not resolved during my stay. I expected a higher standard of accommodation and customer service from a Mercure hotel. The lack of response to my requests and the unresolved maintenance issue negatively affected my stay. I would appreciate your investigation into these matters and would like to know what action you intend to take regarding this complaint. I look forward to your response.

"A tired hotel in a nice quiet out of town location."

This hotel has great potential given its quiet country estate location, but sadly it is a very tired hotel that needs a significant amount of money spending on it to get it to a decent standard. The shared areas are not bad, but the rooms are very tired indeed. The only upsides I saw were a good sized car park (you are a decent way outside the city) and it was very quiet outside at night and so you could sleep with the window open. The rooms were very hot on an average summer day in the UK so I would not recommend a ground floor room so that you can sleep with your windows open. Dinner prices are at the upper end of hotels at this standard, and the food was below average with the portions and presentation poor. The Breakfast was better than usual for a hotel of this standard though.

Room was nice , after we moved rooms. First room was bad mucky curtains and died bugs under edge of bed and in bathroom
