Comfortable, quiet and unassuming, this hotel is everything I like and respect about Kansas: clean, organized, efficient. I had low expectations with a Super 8 but this one came as a complete surprise. We even liked the scenery outside with a granary and a recycled car lot, laid out in perfect grids, behind white cement walls. Not a speck of trash anywhere on site or in the neighborhood, except one lone plastic bag caught on a tree top, which likely would have been gone if it hadn't been too high to reach.

On our usual trips, staying in Kansas would mean one really long drive
