Well... waited for a few days to post this review. We LOVED the Petro palace. Is this hotel perfect. No. But the staff was the best in any hotel we’ve ever traveled to. Yes that good. We had just come from the Grosvenor House in London. The Grosvenor should send their staff to the Petro to learn about fabulous service. Hotel could use some minor upgrades. Ie.. we couldn’t get out temp unit off of AC. With TWO minutes someone arrived with a solution. Fresh fruit and champagne upon arrival. Nice touch. Large rooms. Excellent breakfast. We were there for 4 days. Spent $30 in tips for staff. Bring lots of $1’s. It wasn’t the cheapest option but once you arrive you can see that it is the real deal in St Pete’s. When we arrived the staff was WAITING out front for us. Who does that? They knew our names and acknowledged us as we were getting out of our taxi. Such nice people. After a week my wife and I were still remembering many of their names. Oh... and the sauna is the hottest place on earth. I think I have a better understanding of what my yearly Thanksgiving Turkey experiences. Loved this place.

"Great place!"

I had a great stay at the Petro Palace. My room was larger than expected. The bathroom had modern fixtures. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really good. The location is amazing - an easy walk to all of the major sites. The TV received a LOT of channels from around the world. The lobby is not impressive, but that doesn't matter to me. When I return to St Petersburg, I'll want to stay there again.

The hotel was within walking distance to many attractions and I was able to find many restaurants nearby. The staff were professional and friendly. The room was rather spacious too. I enjoyed my stay here.

Very centrally located to most important sights. Very helpful friendly staff, all spoke good English. Very generous breakfast but lacking in fresh fruit on some days. I would return to stay here again.
