Petro Palace Hotel

Loved the hotel, location is superb for the Hermitage, literally a 5 minute walk round the corner. A great Georgian restaurant on the corner of the road. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do more for us. Recommend the hotel and also St Petersburg- you will love both.

We enjoyed our stay, overall this hotel is good, our room was huge but could have done with a bigger bed and a duvet that actually fitted the bed - ours only fit the top of the mattress and didn't go down the sides! Other than that the room was well appointed with a spacious bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities and couch & chair. The room was quite poorly lit with lamps only but that wasn't a big problem. There was also a fair bit of noise from the surrounding rooms & the street. In saying all that the hotel was very friendly and the staff were very attentive to our needs which made our stay. Breakfast was ok, lacked a bit in selection and needed some additional condiments eg. syrup for pancakes. The shop was great, good prices and very helpful staff. Also the bar/cafe on the ground floor was very good in both quality and service. The meals upstairs were also very good and provided nice casual dining, also good staffing. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general was excellent also. Even though there were a few little negatives I would recommend this hotel for its central location, friendly and attentive staff and cleanliness. There are plenty of eateries within easy walking distance, metro is also handy as well as convenience stores however watch out for the pickpockets in this area.

Great location and easy to so much in St. Petersburg. The main train station in traffic was about 25 mins, with less traffic about 15. Subway in walking distance. Property well kept and the room was perfect for our needs. Read on other reviews that the bathrooms are small. Not ours, it was quite large and the amenities acceptable. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

My second time at this hotel, it has a very good location, nice small pool and sauna in the basement and good breakfast. Good value for Money and easy to walk to any sightseeing as its 5 min walk from the Hermitage.
