Lanzerac Hotel & Spa

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. This was our second time back at the Lanzarac and I hope to come back again. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with large bathrooms. The hotel is a short drive from lots of beautiful vineyards and about 25 minutes from Franschhoek and tends to be much better value than some of the estates there. The food is incredible and the service is outstanding. There are plenty of little touches like sparkling wine on arrival, free mini bar, complimentary shuttle and amazing breakfast included that make you feel spoiled. The gym is well equipped and the pool area lovely. Highly recommend!

Mein Zimmer war sehr dunkel, es kam so gut wie gar kein Tageslicht herein. Es gibt nur im Außenbereich des Spas Liegen, es gibt keinen Pool oder ähnliches, um draußen zu entspannen, was für ein Hotel in dieser Preislage schon recht ungewöhnlich ist. Die Empfangsdame beim Restaurant war nicht besonders freundlich und nicht sehr aufmerksam. Achtung: nicht einfach nur die Adresse des Hotels eingeben, es gibt noch eine zweite Lancerac Road in Südafrika, die sich aber in einem etwa eine gute halbe Stunde entfernten Township befindet.

We loved our stay . The hotel is stunning and the grounds are so beautiful . There is a great choice of places to eat although finding places felt a bit confusing . The Manor restaurant was fabulous and good value . We had a mid price room in the Manor itself which was outstanding and had its own enormous terrace and hot tub ( room 305) , we hadn’t expected that !

Our honeymoon at Lanzerac Hotel & Spa was nothing short of magical. Sleeping on a working wine estate, surrounded by vineyards and mountains, felt like living inside a postcard — romantic, peaceful, and effortlessly luxurious. The spa and pool area were a true highlight. The pool has an incredible view over the vineyards, and everything about it feels designed for total relaxation: super comfortable pool beds, a great pool bar, and a calm atmosphere that makes you want to stay all day. The spa itself is spacious and never feels crowded, which we really appreciated. Between the jacuzzi, sauna, heated indoor pool, and the beautifully maintained facilities, it was the perfect place to unwind. A huge bonus was the spa bar offering healthy drinks and food — such a thoughtful touch — plus a very nice fitness area inside the spa as well. The restaurants on the estate were excellent throughout our stay. The Taphuis was our favorite (we went back more than once!), and we loved ending our evenings with a cocktail at the Craven Lounge after dinner — such a cozy, elegant setting. The service was consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, and the location is super convenient for exploring Stellenbosch and the surrounding wine region. Our room was spacious, beautifully finished, and full of classic French charm — old-school, timeless luxury in the best possible way. If you’re looking for a place that combines romance, relaxation, wine-country beauty, and classic five-star elegance, Lanzerac is absolutely perfect. Truly an unforgettable honeymoon destination — and we can’t wait to come back.

Most hotels would say a home away from home. This was more than my home just an amazing hotel with amazing people amazing food quality. I was traveling with children and these people were soo patient and accommodating with my kids needs every minute. Also the bathroom was the highlight of the rooms. Amazing and thank you to the
